I got one in my inventory while doing the mining quests, just appeared there. I think it says "An Ancient Asteroid Fragment" something like that anyway. I dropped in my Sorosub and it fills the whole room. if it was dropped in a Guild Hall it would probably fill 3/4 of the room.

I think you can just randomly get the different asteroid fragments through the course of mining. I have had some sitting in my inventory after mining expeditions.

I have seen on the global vendor. It is an asteroid. Well, I can mine. Anyone which type of asteroid can get you one in your inventory or which tools you used to get it? Thanks!

I really want a few, but I hear they are very large if you drop them, lol.

They're random drops when you mine an asteroid. I've done the whole mining quest and mined awhile after that and I've never gotten one. While others say they've gotten multiple ones doing the quest alone.
My luck just plain sucks.

Just shoot asteroids, dont try to tractor them, goes faster IMO.......and yeah the loot asteroids are really big, but pretty useless, they're only used in special texture kits that look crappy
So dont bother unless you have a use for a really huge useless rock ![]()
It might be cool if a mayor could drop these out doors to decorate cities, make a circle of stones or something ![]()

Thanks for the advice! I just think the whole concept of having space rocks is fun. So I want one, only ones on the vendors are for 4 million. So I guess I will have to get one myself.

4 million, eh? I picked up a couple of them while mining - guess it's time to see who wants to buy a piece of the rock...
