Thread: ARC-170 and Freelancer RSF Pilot Woes

I was Civilion when I became a Master Freelancer RSF Pilot
Now, I'm a Rebel Combatant to do the Queens ARC-170 Quest.
I'm on Phase 3, the space battle, and I CANNOT shoot the Tie Fighters.
So I just sit and watch the Wookies get blown up, and I get the mission fail warning.
I hyper back to Naboo to go see the queen and reset the quest.
But nope, instead of reseting the quest, she flat out gives the deed and a system message that says you have recieved the Phase 3 reward. But my quest journal only shows me completing up to Phase 2.
When I try to generate the deed, you guessed it. I can't until I complete the quest.
So when I talk to the queen again, she only wants to chit chat and catch up.
Is there any to reset this mission?
Is there anyway around shooting down the Tie Fighters besides regrinding up a different Freelancer Squadron?
If not, this is total BS on SOE's part.

I know it doesn't help, but I'm a freelance pilot as well (Tatooine branch -- 3-3-3-3) and was able to shoot and destroy the TIEs this morning despite being a rebel on leave. I did switch over to being a combatant before talking to the Queen just in case.
Now I have the ARC-170 "pill" in my inventory but haven't tried to turning it into a reall chassis yet. I can't fly it until I'm 4-x-x-x anyway...

P.S. It'd be really nice if I could respond to a post using Firefox, but lithium no longer works with it and I'm forced to use IE. (/shudder)

Click on My Profile, go to the Preferences tab and deselect Use WYSIWYG Message Editor. Mozilla should work for you after that.

Cool, that worked. Thanks, Whirr! The only downside is I'm now typing in HTML code, but at least I don't have to run IE...

Since RSF has a loose affiliation with the Empire your never going to be able to attack imp's in space.
My suggestion would be togroup with afull fledged rebel to escort you on the missions and take the ties out for you. I only did this once with a guild mate that was rebel (back around November). We did escort missions and I was able to attack the imp bombers while he went after the ties. If there's been a fix for that, I'm unaware of it.
Oh, and at the time, I was non-factioned on the ground. Hope it works for you.
