Hey guys while mining in space a system message popped up saying that I had discovered a glowing rock fragment and that it was transfered to my inventory. Sure enough there it was Glowing rock fragment, does not have any stats and only says can be used in crafting recipes. Anyone have a clue as to what this does or is used for?

You use asteroid chunks for X-Wing, B-Wing and ARC-170 paint kits.

What does it look like? I saw a few items listed like this on the bazaar search, might have to go mine some of my own if they are a cool decoration.

i read somewhere, when rotw went live, that its a very rare loot from mining asteroids and that shipwrights use it for making SUPERIOR whatevers that use the asteroid stuff? check out the SW forums i'd say...

Used to make the new paint kits if I recal corectly from beta.
Also if you drop it in your house, beware the things are huge!
