After an hour or so on Kashyyyk killing "outcasts", I was excited to see that my inventory was full of "Blue Potions", "Black Potions", "Purple Potions", "White Potions", "Orange Postions", and a variety of other items like "A Ceremonial Dagger", "A Voodoo Doll", and several "Mysterious Tomes".
It is so refreshing to see some of the content headed in a nice wizards and warlocks direction instead of the same old boring Star Wars stuff.
Thanks SOE.

Yea, wow. I was going to agree with the original poster at first because as I read it I agreed in terms of more loot drops and actually getting things but then BAM! Hit with that wizards and warlock comment. NO WAY! This is a STAR WARS game. The only reason I it instead of EQ or WOW. The Wizards and Warlock thing is extremely old, overused and boring. That last thing this game needs is a turn in that direction.
Now just for that I thinkt he devs need to make a Couruscant expansion with nothing but chrome loot (cause "Everythings chrome in the future!" 10 pts who who knows what thats from).
On a more serious note, the weapons, ships and cybernetics make up for the potions and whatnot.

The movies center around telekenetics with glowing swords. The game centers around a futuristic galaxy far away in the middle of a civil war between the Rebel Alliance and the Empire, full of laser guns, space ships, floating bikes and interplanetary travel. Jedi are just a part of this game, not the center.

You're either a Jedi or a cynic.
Either way, do a poll on people's favorite Star Wars characters. I will guarantee you that no Jedi will come in first--maybe not even second. I'd say Han and Boba would monopolize the top two slots.
This game--this universe--is about a LOT more than just Jedi.

Hell i have some complaint letters to write then. My Han Solo AND Boba Fett action figure didn't come with their light sabers. Same with my Stormtrooper and R2-D2 one. You know games too! When I played Star Wars Bounty Hunter or Republic Commando I never got to use my lightsaber! And when I read Tale from the Mos Eisley Cantina and the Han Solo Trilogy I didnt get to read great adventure stories of jedi. Lucas you have some explaining to do.
I also need this memo on how post counts represent the entire game. Jedi are a part of the game. When I log on I go overt, kill some Rebels, do some quests, go on my alt and craft some stuff, sell it. Fight some NPCs in space. Nothing really involved with Jedi. Besides so far the only role I see Jedi as in this game so far is to grind and get hunted. Dont see what else they do. Like I said before they are a part of the game, they are not the game.

When I played Star Wars Bounty Hunter or Republic Commando I never got to use my lightsaber! (and the developer didnt get to make a buck either)And when I read Tale from the Mos Eisley Cantina(lowest selling of the Jedi Addons)and the Han Solo Trilogy( i believe Jacen and Jana and the central character Anakin were all lil jedi)I didnt get to read great adventure stories of jedi. Lucas you have some explaining to do.

(PvP is the other use my creature grinding friend)Dont see what else they do. Like I said before they are a part of the game, they are not the game.(yeah they are)
I have, to this day never grinded a Jedi nor will I...I have been to the village only to blackbar Rebels who go there overt...that being the case though does not change what Star Wars is...Star Wars is the Tale of a Family called Skywalker, who are all Adepts of a "hokey religion" that allows people to move object with their minds like a mage, force people to do their bidding like a witch, and fight with a glowing saber...doesn'tget any plainer than that...
that u like a bit part player in the series like Han Solo or Boba Fett does not change the spirit nor the context of the Universe

You ever think that maybe wookies have a shamanistic type society where those potions and voodoo dolls might actually make sense for the given culture?

Rage of the Jedi?
Rage of the Skywalker?
Rage of the Galactic Civil War?
No.
The new planet and all related content are focused on the neopagan and highly spiritual Wookiees. Perhaps the similarities to other fantasy-type games were intentional, but they have managed to integrate them perfectly into the Star Wars universe. These things don't seem at all out of place on a primitive planet, far from the technological trappings prevalent in other realms, where the Wook are quite happy with their way of life (aside from those pesky slavers & the occasional imp). For anyone that doesn't like the new loot, there's a starport in Kachirho. =)

Your kidding right?Jedi envy has infected other MMO's lie WoW. Some enchantments (buffs to weapons) are only popular because they make your weapon glow.
Remove blasters from the movies and you got the best elements -- Jedi and Ewoks Woot
