It's an updated version of the light Black Sun fighter. You get it by being a neutral on the ground and taking a mission from the Kashyyyk station I think.
I've heard it doesn't matter what your space faction is - only your ground faction. Been some Master Privateers who have wound up with either the Heavy X-Wing or the Imperial Guard TIE Interceptor from it.

It's the Vaksai, and yes, you get it at Kash station.
It's the reward for the dreaded "Elite Corvette" mission. Same ship as in the kessel mission, but not anywhere near as hard. I soloed this one pretty easily in my Krayt. You disable it (sneak up on it's 6-oclock and torpedo the shields and engines), then hit a buncha fighters. Simple stuff.
And the Vaksai is worth it. Only 1 gun (and 1 ord), but with 150k mass, you can load any engine & shield you want.
