Thread: So whats the secret?

Ive done over 75-100 BH missions and I have only gotten 1 boss elite mark with 35k HAM. Im MBH andchoose all 31k missions...so am I just unlucky or doing something wrong?

I'd say unlucky. I have done about 20-30 missions and I would say 1 in 4 is an elite/boss mark. I don't think I do anything special, I just take the most expensive NPC mission (not neccessarily 31k each time) and then track them.

from what i read, u can also grab more boss marks depending on which planet ur mark is on...for instance if ur arakyd says dathomir it would most likely be a boss mark. This could be a rumor tho, never tested it

There is no hard evidence on this at all. According to the patch notes from earlier, you just have a random chance of getting one, pure and simple. I don't think there is any pattern to it at all.

I've found that if I take a lower level bounty, aka not the most expensive mark, it will usually be a boss mark.

I have done about 150 BH missions now as a MBH/MRM
Here's what I have found:
Attachments drop about 1 in 15, pretty much all multi-mod CA's with a single mod over +10 and 1 or 2 others adding up to between 20 and 25 total points
Good quality crystals, Aa'kuan rings, and other odd thingsdrop from elite and higher marks about 1 in 25
Bounty hunter armor schematics drop about 1 in 10
The higher the value of the mission (ie. 31k +) the better the odds of an elite or boss
30k boss marks are about 1 in 30
Hard to get to marks ,especially on Endor and Dathomir, seem to drop better loot and more double and triple drops
I WILL NOT take Bounty hunter guild missions......they drop crap loot for me. I only take missions from 3 guilds....my secret 
Do not target wild npc's while enroute to a mark. This will cause the mark to move.
Expect jars of bugs....it happens
I now have enough slicing equipment to supply a small army lol
But this is just what I've experienced so........

ive done only like 10 just cuz im lazy and ive had 2 boss marks and 3 bh schems.
i am mbh/mch, so its just a matter of luck on getting the loot and getting boss marks

Well the first few days of the Loot upgrade,I did 20 missions or so and got
All the BH armor pieces except chest(and 1 extra bracer that I already had)
3 CA/AA's,one of which had a Double Bladed Saber Acc skill mod.
I think maybe some insects once.
And slicing loot with every mission,often in multiples of 2 and 3.
And unrelated topic,but I saw the thread title and figured it had to do with this. So I'll ask it anyways.
What's the Secret of the Syren that the quest(s) refers to? Or is it just a Quest Title that has nothing to do with the Quest?
