yes it does, adds +900 to mind regen. I believe the timers are that of the health buff crystal.

I think the timer is 1hr 30 min instead of the 2 hours that the health crystal gives.

Well, in fact it displays : + 900 to Mind, not Mind regen. Which is hard to confirm, since weonly gota percentage display of our mind status, not the overall mind we got.


Furthermore, no buff icon is applied when using it (not sure if the Health crystal does generate an icon though, so this argument may not be valid).


Right after the CU, this crystal didn't displayed any stats, only reuse timer. A few publishes ago, the "attribute modifier" came back, which shows that some dev modified the code for the crystal. What he modified, we do not really know cause I haven't seen any patch note about this item.

You can test this with a Jedi or a doctor. I think even an artisan may be able to test it.


Just spam heals over and over for 60 seconds or so. Monitor mind left over (%). Now while standing, let your mind regen.


Now use your crystal and do the same again. If the % of mind left after 60 seconds is a lot more, then the mind pool has increased. If the mind regens much faster after using the crystal, then its Mind Regen. If neither happens, the crystal is useless.


I would try this now but the servers are down, and by the time they come back up, I'll have forgotten

Let's see, we have a guy here claiming it adds mind regen, andwe have the jedi corrospondent saying it partially replenishes the mind pool. We also have the group that agrees that it works, though none say exactly what it does, or how they know it works. Lastly, we have the group (which includes myself) that says it does absolutely nothing.



Lots of people on both sides, so I think we can safely say it either does nothing, doesn't do much, or some of us have bugged crystals.

Servers back up early, so here are the results.


I used Avoid incap to test this.


AI uses 10% of my mind , so I hit 6 times (and then my mind was at 44%)


I timed the regen of 10%. 13 seconds


I waited till force was 100% and mind was90% again.


I used the crystal (it did not replenish my mind at all!) and hit AI 6 times (once at 100%). Mind down to 44% again. I timed the regen of 10% - 13 seconds.


Conclusion :


It's not regen.
Attacks use a % of mind, so regardless of whether you got 3000 units or 30000 units, it goes down by the same %

It is therefore safe to conclude that for the most part, the mind crystal is useless.

I've witnessed the same test results. It does not help regen or total mind pool. The only possibility, that I highly doubt, is that it replenishes some mind. I'll look into that tonight.
