Can you use it to get in the Crafting rooms if it converted to ''Crafted Bounty Hunter Armor''?

I believe you have to convert it to Bounty Hunter armor, which has condition of 100/100 and is non-wearable. This is the component for mando armor. I could be wrong though.

Does it have to be converted so that it can used to go in the craftin room?
