Thread: Everybody loves loot so heres some new ways we could get some new loots

This set of Ideas directly interacts with "Everybody Loves Loot"

I Think missions across the board are stale and boring. As a BH i have access to one of the easiest ways to get good loot in the game but that doesnt make doing the missions fun at all.So here are some ways to add good loot for other professions through some new missions types, and make BH missions a bit more BHesqe.


*My first Idea requires that they add a crafting level on par with the combat level system; master of 1 crafting profession is CRL 54 and master of 2 is CRL80, this could be reflected by showing a square around the level and can be switched in the same fashion as rank/profession names.*


Crafting Missions-
After taking a mission you will be given a waypoiny to an NPC who needs help with developing a factory schematic based on a blueprint. You will be supplied a data disk with several possible rescources needed and an analizer used to determine if the rescources are stable enough to craft the final product. once you have all of the nesacary recources the analizer will produce a schematic for you to deliver to your employer. Once delivered you will be rewarded with credits and a sample of the product.

Any elite crafter can take these missions but the quality of the reward and difficulty of the mission is based on the level of the mission you take.All rewards are completly random and have no bearing on what profession you are.



Explorer Missions-
After taking a mission you will be directed to an NPC who will tell you a sob story about how there pet or livestock ran away and how they need help retreiving it. You will be given a tracking device similar to the radiation detector from the FS villageand will need to track down the animal, rescue it from any surrounding wildlife threats and escort it back to its owner to get your reward.



Comabt Missions-
All new combat missions would require a base or house strucure to be spawned in the wild.

-Rescue- After receving your waypoint a large house will spawn and you must fight your way to the hostage and escort them back to there home city(where ever you took the mission originaly).Hostage NPCs will have a radial option to enter a multipassanger vehichal with you. Once delivered safely you will recive a reward.


-demolition- when taking these missions you will be directed to an NPC who is seeking revenge . After receving your waypoint a small base or large house will spawn( this is determined by the level of mission you take). After defeating the NPC spawns and planting the explosives return to the NPC who gave you the mission for your reward.Unless you take a mission significantly lower than your CL you will require a small group to complete these missions.


-Assasination-these missions are level 100 and require you to be CL80 . After receiving your waypoint a Large base will spawn.Infiltrate the base and kill you way to the bottom, once there defeat the high level boss mark.Only the person who took the mission can loot the boss and claim the reward.This Mission type should not be able to be done solo.


BH Missions- This idea is for a change to the current way we track bountys.

After taking a Bounty mission will be given a set of clues in the mission statment to what planet your mark is on, you can then try to guess the planet and seek an informant there or send an Araknd probe to the planet you think hes on and wait for the results.Once you have determined the planet you need to seek out an informant, but not every informant on the planet will have info on your mark. After you get the information you need you can then use a seeker droid to get you a triangular set of waypoints that you will need to search within to find your target. Once your Mark is located of three options may ocure....1) they open fire and a battle ensues. 2) you are able to catch them off guard and make a few well placed highly damaging shots before they return fire. 3) they plea for their life and offer you either the credits you were offered to hunt them OR the loot you would have recieved by killing them if you forget they are still alive. BH loot itself will not change in any way.


Some ideas for new loots are- stacks of higher power doc buffs, small stacks of very potent stim Ds, food buffs that give a 25% boost to one stat and use 100% of one stomach , desirably powered weapons with a high chance of inflicting a status affect, a bag that holds 80 items , Schematics for new armor syles in all three catagories, a high powered PSG, a one time use instant hyperdrive that equips in the booster slot, usable droidekas, a radio transmiter that alowes you to call on a small troop of NPCs to defend you once ,a dismantaling kit that alowes you to remove slicing components from a weapon or armor peice , an espioage kit that alowes a combatant or special forces walk around an enemy city without being detected for a short time , weapon power ups, smoke grenades for escaping fights easier, and any assortment of new furniture and displayable trophies( which would be the most common of course )

Sounds interesting.
How about some for Smugglers as well? And perhaps some for pilots?

well if you folow the forums at all you would know already that the next phase of the smuggler revamp is adding special smuggler missions into the game.


As for pilots , i threw one idea in for an item they can use......the quick escape instant hyperdrive booster.....as far as missions go they are not drawn from termials so i did not include them.....my ideas were for the ground game......im not even sure what else could be done to space missions that isnt already in place exept walk in space stations but that idea has been spamed to death.
