Can anyone confirm first-hand that Canyon Corsairs on Lok are dropping these?
Also, is anything else dropping them?
Thanks!

I believe it's called a metal recycler schematic (in schematic form). and yes dropping off corsairs (captain variant confirmed....unknown, but highly probable that it's specific to this variant).

Get used to looking. I am close to 25 buff sessions on them and only got 2 so far.

Im up around 10-12 buff sessions with no luck! No agitator motor schems and no other schems! Lots of crystals though!

5 buff sessionsand probably 50+ wiring, 6 small power motors (good) and0 metal recycler schems. trying to get one for the guild weaponsmith who needs one.
plenty of chemical/flora recyclers though! hardest part about the others are feed tubes from tuskens.

I can say I've looted three metal recycler schems... and all three were off the Cosair Captains... I believe there is maybe 1 of them at the Cosair POI... You are best to run circles around the POI as there are plenty of wild spawns and you are much more likely to find Cosair Captains...

Wow, I must have been really lucky...I looted the smelting machine schematic off corsairs within 15 minutes, running missions from a player city. Also, the schematic is called Smelting Machine in the list of schematics when you learn the schematic....at least that's what it says in my crafting screen....possibly could have different names from the datapad and the crafting screen though, I'd have to check on that.
Anyway, yes corsairs do drop these schematics......and many other useful items for the new recyclers.....they seem to drop a lot of canvas's and datascreen printers as well....I got 3 in a row off of them yesterday......
Well, with all loot, there is a little luck involved....so I say to increase your chances, do nothing but hunt the same npc all day.....if your having no luck, hunt them again the next day, still no luck, then hunt them again the next day....after that I move on to another npc then come back to them again a few days later.....this is how I do with all mobs because it is my belief that the rate that certain loot drops is like resource shifts.....one day the chance might be 5% that the schematic will drop off of one type of npc, the next day it might be like .5%. I am in no way saying that this is how loot works, but it's how I think of loot drops personally and my luck has been awesome lately.....unfortunately it might just be a phase....I hope not...hehe
Basically though, if I'm killing a mob and I'm getting nothing from them at all, I keep at them, they are due to drop something good....but if I'm killing them and they drop cdefs, wood staffs, transmissions disk, locked containers or stuff that I will immediately delete once I look in my inventory before I get any good drops.....I move on because I believe there alreadypast due on rare drops for a period of time....so far this little strategy has paid off for me on nearly every npc that I hunt, especially power crystals. just got 1 premium and 2 good ones earlier this morning in less than 30 minutes. Then went to the NS poi's and got a nice +10 melee def SEA and a couple of excellent DOT weapons, one with fire.....so it's just a matter of timing and sticking with certain mobs at certain times in my opinion.

They Take the resources that are for the recycler...
ore recycler... ore and gem
Smelting Machine.. ALL metal
Creature Recycler.. Bones.hide,meat
Flora. all flora...
Lets take the metal one...
you have 5 different kinds of Steel
tyoeiclosh .. Durianium Steel 30k
yuidsicys .. Tainsium Steel 20k
Ritpsldic .. Ricsiium Steel 10k
Eroslcos .. Eidlsocium Steel 5k
Uyeslcv .. Riyelium Steel 35k
stats.. I dont know If that's the right number or not lol
998 765 123 323 22
765 123343 987 390
123 234 200 789 146
2 526 798 213 875
901 466 859216
439 365 285 954 999
If you throw all of this Steel into the recycler it comes out a 100k brick of Smelted Steel... 200 stats across the board

Smelting Machine Schematic
Metal Recycler Schematic - Engineering I: Tinkering
> > 1x Small Power Motor
> > 4x Heating Element
> > 50x Fiberplast
> > 40x Steel
> > 20x Iron
Makes the Smelting Machine
Metal Recycler Schematic
Small Power Motor
Heating Element
Smelting Machine AKA the Metal Recycler
Examples of some Smelted Resources
Smelted Copper
Smelted Iron
Smelted Steel
Notes:
I got the Metal Recycler Schematic's from Canyon Corsair's on Lok.
I got the Small Power Motor's from Canyon Corsair's on Lok.
I got the Heating Element's from Binayre's on Talus.
How it works
Okies, you take for example 100 stack of steel, of any kind, planet, stats, & etc.
Drop the steel in/on the Recycler "Smelting Machine" while it's in your inventory, whatever you drop in/on it turns into Smelted, with 200 to all stats, and will pop back in your inventory. So now you have a 100 stack of Smelted, and in this case, Smelted Steel.
This is helpful for grinding, or for items that don't require experimentation.
It gets rid of alot the extra resources you can't use, and makes them into stacks you can use.
Also Note:
You have to target on Smelting Machine, while it is in inventory & click on Choose Recycle Type now you click on either Ferrous or Non-Ferrous then drop your resource on it, of the appropriate type.

the name stays the same once you learn it (although you can rename it on the final crafting stage). name difference is between looted schema form (Metal Recycler Schematic) and learned form (Smelting Machine).
