I posted this in another thread a few minutes ago, since I was scouring through some screenshots last night and I came across one that brought back very happy memories.

Remember the amount of loot you used to get from high-end mobs, especially from the likes of Nightsisters, Singing Mountain Clan, Dark Adepts, Dark Jedi Knights, and Dark Jedi Masters. Heck even factional NPC dropped decent loot like useable weapons and skill attachments semi-frequently.

Here's an old screenshot I found last night. I know I have many others, since during the that time period (first 2-3 months of the game) I took a screenshot any time I looted a DJK/DJM NPC.

You have any tales or screenshots to share? Post them here! Let us remind the developers that we used to actually get something when we killed mobs, and we want that feeling back again!

I don't always remember too much...lol. But I do remember getting more good junk dropped. Atleast they could go ahead and replace the loot kit drops, i.e. the replacements from Gong Structure, Glass Tables and Naboo Sculpture parts......

Back in the day the whole game experience was different. It felt like star wars... I remeber when speeders were only in someone's fantasy we had to walk our hunts... I remeber when we first got our mounts everyone was overwhelmed, and wanted to have one. Those were good old days... The consept was different, there were jedi still popping up, but they used to get much more respect than today. One day, right before I had to stop playing for a year or so, someone showed me their "Jedi Initiate" title, and I was saying "wow" for like 15 minutes. The community was friendleir, too. There just too many things that were better back in the day. It was the true SWG....

I agree, the game was a lot different when it first launched. It was a lot more fun.
I remember back on Gorath when only few had an elite profession. I remember the raids on Anchorhead that happend atleast four times a day. The Imperials would attack, there would be a big battle in the city, then the Rebels would push the Imperials back and we'd all cheer and shout "long live the Rebellion!". Sometimes we'd go raid Bestine to get back at the Imperials, and we'd be pushed back as well. It was a lot of fun. I miss it.
I remember when the Imperial would pull out an AT-ST and the Rebels would have to hide somewhere and take shots at it because AT-ST were pretty strong then, and we had to be smart to take one out.

But I disagree with the who Jedi respect then. Jedi don't deserve any respect, none at all. They're been pampered and babied ever since the FS village came about, while the Devs let other profession like Smuggler suffer for two years. Now Jedi are an everyday sighting, they're basically just another profession now. You can't go into Theed or Coronet without seeing a cluster of Jedi. They're always showing off, using their powers in the public, battleing eachother or running around with a lightsaber. Jedi in Star Wars never would've done that, they never would've shown off.
Jedi need to respect the players who are not Jedi more, not the other way around. Jedi don't deserve any respect, in my oppinion, because they don't respect the other players. To have respect, you need to earn it, and Jedi deffinately haven't.

Man... I wish the game was still like it was at launch, where Jedi hadn't even been implimented yet so you couldn't become a Jedi if you tried. That's the way it should've been kept-- no player should be a Jedi. Maybe have a Force power or two, but no Jedi.
But I guess that's getting off the topic of this thread. Sorry, just an old Veteran remembering the good 'ol days...

agree about jedi, I'm so tired to see those over powered kids roaming with their pijama and light pogo.... where is the interest to have all those ? they are not rare.... and most of them are ego centric ass holes( I know a couple of friendly ones but not much)

I have no reason to deal with you so my carabine will do it for me.

I could never stand the old system because all it did was favor melee Professions, except the Rifleman.

The looters were typically price gougers and loot campers at every major spot...in the geo cave it was the exceptional T21 fighting for venom and bones, at axkva it was the Jedi, at Nyax it was everyone...

I don't miss that at all
