Thread: LOOT STACKING IS a necessity at this point in the game

Many people out there have HUNDREDS OF ITEMS, Smugglers for example jsut had a slicing revamp where some tools, were changed to the new slicing loot, now there are hundreds of items filling inventory space to beyond full, on LOTS of difrent characters. Not jsut smuggler either, BOUNTY HUNTERS recently got missions that actualy get the smuggling loot, as it is now it is unstackable and its practicly game breaking now for many people, as there inventory in every house is full and the bank is full and my back pack and personal inventory are all full. and even my sales on the BAZZAR are full (with full backpacks with slicing loot in them) this is practly slowing down the bazzar system because i know about 30 people that do it. and if they know 30 people that do it and so forth like alot of people do it.

please a DEV any dev please help the servers out help the bazzars out, or actualy decide to do something practly easy for the SMUGGLERS, BH AND JEDI that loot the items or use them everyday

thanks

If they use the items, stacking is not needed.

The only ones this would benefit is loot-hogs who camp certain points for lengthy time and put the loot up for sale.

If you have 20 smuggler tools you don't need and don't know anyone who need them, perhaps there's plenty already and you can safely destroy it.

I don't see any need for this at all.

I collect and save all items that I know will be of use to my guild, or of future recruits. That means bio clothing, armour, weapons, meds.....and a big old pile of smuggler tools. In this game it's certainly a good idea to live by the saying "It's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it".

I currently have 3 houses which are only for item storage, taking up 4 of my 10 lots. I don't think I'm a hog, as most of the stuff I have is low level stuff; I sell on or use things which have an immediate value. But such a small change would have a big positive impact on the game, compared to the few negative impacts.

Wwho's hoarding smuggler tools? Since whenare people camping spawns for smuggler tools? They're so common now that there's no real need to - why not let them stack to save inventory space instead of just trashing them?

Smugglers do use the items, but its not like they know when they'll need to slice a weapon or a suit of armor - they have to be ready when someone comes looking for a slice. There's no reason to say every smuggler in the game should carry around 7 mandalorian intraframes at all times in case someone should need a suit of armor sliced, if they could just carry around a stack of 7 instead.

Basically, "destroy it" should never be what the devs intend for you to do with any loot, especially brand new loot like the slicing drops.

Well this problem resides elsewhere. I think if a guild cant have spare "recruit sets" theyre wasting alot of item slots on something, isn't the PA Hall itself (which in my opinion would qualify as a damn good place to store this) like 400 items?
I don't think stacking clothing attachments is a neglectable impact. The hamstering of these (this is an example) are so bad as it is, the vendors would be overrun by 10mill items in an instant and no one other than krayt hunters, Aakuan campers, ace pilots, etc., could get by decently in the game.

I see now that smuggler tools was as bad an example as I could ever have used. Of course you're right, smugglers need their tools. But as I've understood it, the new smuggler items mean that theres no longer just two items needed for a full armor slice, but a whole set of tools.

Smugglers are a shady bunch, so the fact that they don't have to be in a private house to slice surprises me in the first, nevertheless, I couldn't imagine a smuggler running around with 100 of each smuggler tools because he afk-camped the warren one night and now is way ahead.

My number one concern with stackable loot is that afk macro looting will increase, POIs will all be the same show, different planet and vendors will be flooded with junk that should never had cost so much in the first place.

And I agree, items that partout are eligible for destruction shouldn't even be in the game.

Well I'm not against the idea of having them not autostack - make them like when you harvest shellfish or crustaceans, where if you do it AFK you end up with an inventory full of 5 unit blocks of shellfish if you dont combine them manually

And as for stacking SEAs or LS crystals or other popular loot, that will never happen.....to stack, two items have to be exactly identical. SEAs arent identical, neither are LS crystals and pearls, and even things like krayt tissues are only identical within their own stacks. What else do people go out to loot these days anyway? SEAs, tissuesand crystals...maybe recycler components? Loot kit parts? Aakuan rings? Armor cores? Not really....

I dont see any way that these things could ever be stackable, and no reason why anything that could be stackable shouldnt be.

That's a very good point, sir or madam.

I'll stretch to making things stackable, but not auto-stacking (refer to my earlier posts).

Bravo.

I honestly dont see how people without vendors save anything. PA Hall with 400 max items = 8 backpacks of loot???

Droid Storage Vendor FTW. (Non-registered of course to reduce Bazaar Spam)

this is NOT the reason digi. YOU SIR, AS A TYPICAL JEDI POINTED OUT YOUR SHORT SIDEDNESS 'DONT GIVE SMUGGLERS ABLITIES THAT MIGHT ACTUALY HELP THEM"

i could care less about who loots what and from where and how many they have from looted from npc's as they afk grind them selfs to be uber and then runaround nekid in there diapers.

I care about the smugglers who over a month ago were FORCED to UNPACK ALL THE AUKS AND WUKS, before the loot patch came down, these items have been stored by smugglers for a very long time these items were then changed to the new loot system, having a full inventory full bank full houses of the stuff is game breaking.

personaly i counted yesterday i have over 1000 of the new loot. and have only looted 3 of the items my self and bought 3 more.

so take your "IM UBER ATTITUDE AND THINK OF SOMEONE ELSE FOR A CHANGE"

Something to keep in mind too.

WUK and AUK were craftable, meaning they came in crates. Now a lot of us ended up with crates and crates of tools that we have to uncrate one by one, salvage, and then be stuck with hundreds of non stackable tools. lol
