By all accounts, the "tuning" is a lottery, the original quality of the pearl apparently having nothing to do with the results.

For what it's worth, every single "good" or "quality" pearl/crystal I'ved tuned has tuned horribly. I've tuned atleast 50 (within the last week). Out of 7 premium pearls/crystals, 4 were excellent tunes(2 pre-cu premium pearls, 5 DJM era prem crystals). I'm of the opinion that quality does matter just as much as ever.

Many players report tuning fair crystals to better results than good and quality.
All I know is that I am but a few days from unlocking and I will be checking the 60+ crystals I've been collecting pre-CU and post-CU. I'll try to report on my findings as I have the pre-CU and post-CU stored in different containers.

if you buy them now, will you still get the tunes you would pre cu? i spent 10 mil and got bad tunes. thx for any help
