The Death Star Adhesive is an uber rare loot. You gotta tickle and/or beat the EmperorI think and pray you loot it.
But the pieces are real easy to get at the Massassi Temple on Yavin IV.
...at least it is if you're Imperial.

Not really. At one point when you run inside the temple, you find a "T" junction. Turn right and follow the hallway until you come into a huge open room (the ceremony room from EpIV). There's one Imperial guy in the room. His first mission is to deliver the Death Star Fragment to another guy.
As soon as you accept the mission. Talk to him again and tell him you can't complete the mission. Then talk to him again and get the mission again. Each time you take the mission, you get another piece. Throw them all in your pack and keep taking the mission until you're inventory is full.
Now that sounds like those early 90's Nintendo rumours where they told you to stick chewing-gum under your control-pad and play your game standing upside-down to get to the secret 9th level
