i see a section in my character sheet where it shows how many badges i have....how do i get badges....?

do i need to beat the grass pokemon leader? cus i just recently got a rancor, and i think he is a ground type

Woohoo! Knew that beta experience would come in handy some day... Anyway, you usually recieve badges by doing POIs of a certain type. I got one from the evil scientist who wants you to murder his rival. There's also the twilekk dancing girl running from the stormies, and the bandits vs the farmers if I remember correctly. There may also be other ways to gain them....

Has anyone earned any badges yet? If so, whatfor and how did you get it?

Just curious...

If you read the Holocron under missions I think, it says that if you do missions for NPCs you can possibly earn badges from them. Not really sure why you woud want the badges, but thats how it says you get them. I've done some NPC missions, but they are really buggy and the NPC that gave them to me seems to keep disappearing, but the one time I did complete one all I got was a useless used up sports ticket.

I know someone that has a Dark Jedi badge but he has no clue how he got it. He had only been playing the game 1-2 days...

Sounds weird to me...

Do they effect the players in some tangible way?

I think its more like inCub Scouts where it is just bragging rights... "Anyone else got an underwater Basket weaving badge?? Thought not."

Can you actually wear the bagde or do they have any graphical representation on your character viewable by others?

POI = ?? Maybe i been staring at the screen too long and fried a braincell or two, but I am not understanding this acronym.

POI = Points of Interest...

The rebel or imperial base that pops up in the middle of no where then disapears after awhile.. or slave trader camps... those are POI's
