Thread: Loot+Quest Mob = Bad (AFK campers rampent!)

I understand where SOE was going with this, but it's such a bad idea. Why on earth would you make mobs you have to kill for a quest give a wanted loot drop. Atleast on my server this has lead to groups of 8 AFK macroing the location. It makes doing some quests practicly impossible. I say allow quest mobs to simply give the quest and have another mob drop the loot so that these afk macroers can grief themselves and not people trying to enjoy game experience. I mean realy waiting hours upon hours for a spawn to not get credit for a kill and thus having to wait longer is just insane. I realize this was in good intent, hey lets give the people a nice item for killing this quest mob, but this has just become an epidemic. Outcry to figure out something to fix this. The quest may not be hard, but getting the actual quest is insane because of CAMPARS ugh! It's just getting so old. Something must be done.

Well, it would be fine if they made the robes or the otherBossMOBdrops one per toon only. This would solve camping. Isn't this how the YT-2400 is? Also, this just encourages people using free for all looting and third party looting tools. Yeah it is sad. At least I was able to finish my Vansk quest etc. Now, I have to go through it a hundred times in hopes of getting a robe.

I was in a questing group, which really didn't care about the jedi robe, when we came upon the 20+ jedi camping the spawn who had been waiting a while. The mob spawned shortly after we arrived, and we killed it and looted it. Quest complete. Hate tells ensued. Much fun.
