Hello folks. I know its dramatic, but since apparently NO one is aware of this, especially newer players, I am hopeing you can pass this on if you have or know anyone who may fallunder this catagory.
With the last two expansions there have been varius pet rewards ( pre-order veraclts or lava Fleas) or in game rewards ( Kyashak Banthas or Boltars) It is imparitive that you all realise, though it pains me to say this as a MCH and an individual who prides them selves on good customer relations and as a source of income, that you DO NOT aks CH to train any of your pets, for any reason IF you have more than TWO pets. This is not becouse we as a proffesion do not want to train your pets, but is becouse of a game mechanic, that apparently was over looked. As I understand it, regardless of what you have in your data pad now or pre 24, non Ch are only able to have 2 animal pets, at any one time. This is not to say that you can not have all four reward pets (five if ch-thougth that does not matter) , and or pull them out and use them as you see fit. you can! HOWEVER if you attempt to trade them to another party for trade or training by Ch, you will no longer be able to Store the pet in your data pad.
Simply put: more than 2 pets + trade = destruction of pets to make room.
Now, I am fairly certain that the devs are "Aware of this" as we in the CH formus have brougth this up, but over the last three days I have been plagued by players who want to name or train thier pets, who then find out that they can no longer take them back. Since these animals are almost always one time rewards, and non repeatable, this causes a huge problum for those of us who are CH. Of any one playing this game, we are aware of the attachments that players build for thier pets, and we can smypathize with you on a subject that seems drastic and unfair - that of releasing/destorying your hard earnd/purchesd pets- however we, as a proffesion are in a slightly diffrent though possibly worse situation. we have only so many slots to hold pets, all of which we relie on as work horses or weapons. we do not have the option of putting our PETS in our banks or homes, we must cary them at all times, and are frequesntly forced to destroy prized posessions to make room. WE ARE NOT PET HOTELS nor DO WE have a DESIRE TO HOLD PETS that CAN NOT BE traded back. PLEASE BELIVE ME! WE DO not endorse this, nor wish it on any one.The simple truth is , untill the devs decide that both non-ch players as well as Ch players require the ability to hold more pets in our data pads or some other fashion for storing pets- YOU ARE TAKING YOUR REWARDS IN YOUR OWN HANDS BY HAVING THEM TRAIND AT THIS TIME. please do not be offended if there is aproblum with your pet, 99.9% of ch could care less about adding another lvl 10 creature to there collection, we are not trying to steal them, and do not need hate mail and tells acussing us of wrong doing. if you have an issue, please post a bug repoet, voice your opinions and experiencs onthe boards, and by all means, make a stink.
if you have an issue with some thing I have said, let it be known that it is MY opinion and experience, I ONLY speak for me, but I belive other CH are having the same issues, and it iwillonly get worse. hope you have a good day.
any devs that read this, feel free to respond, or give advice.

I can confirm this is a real prob- luckily the ch I talked 2 before I traded for the pet to be trained the ch did mention this almost as a side-note. This led to a good chat with a nice ch but sadly, since I didnt want 2 delete any pets I already had, it also ended with my pet not getting trained 
Its also sad 2 see that sometimes its the ch's that get blamed for this issue when its not their fault at all, but some wierd coding/ game mechanics responsible for this.

They already increased the datapad slots for Vehicles and Starships. I think they should do the same for non-ch pets and increase it to about 4 or 5.

actualy i would rather them allow us to redeed our pets/droids/vehicles to allow us to make room inour datapads, rather than destroying them to make room.

Other than what I have said above, the only and last thing I will say is this: below is a direct quote from the SWG main page concearning ToOW

IF they can add three additonal vehicle storage slots ( ON top of the additional 5 space ship slots that came with the DD of ROTW-as well as teh additional storage for vehicles that came withe new added vehicls then) when as far as I know the max number of NEW Vehicles is TWO ( dessert skiff Laval Skiff), why not allow for more pets, one of which , most would argue, is almost essentail to fun/ engaging gameplay on Mustafar-lavalflea? it makes no sense that you would pay the added fee for DD of TWO expansions that both give reward PETS, and not allow for those same pets to be utilized/enjoyed, which is what is happening.
Again, please warn your friends, family, guildmates, and your customers of this, as it shoudl be avoided as much as possible. I am sorry to all those out there who have paid the price for an oversight/ deiliberate refusal to impliment good-sane game mechanics.

Very wise advice, as an ex-MCH I had to explain this to several people in the past. I suggest that if you have more than 2 pets in your datapad and havethem named and trained is a must, then get a few points from your template and make yourself a CH-0000 ,that will give you space for 4 pets that you can trade to a Master CH to teach them all the commands and get them back. Done that you can surrender CH and keep working on your personal template(and not trade the pets anymore).
A friend of mine did this and worked fine, cause you dont loose the pets gained when you drop CH, only the skill to call the ones over level 10. I still have 21 or 22 pets from the old times

Yep... found this out by testing it the first day they offered it to us... luckily I had not used my reward yet to generate my flea... so I just gave it to the person that asked me to train theirs. Sad that SOE did that...
