will the anti decay kit keep the rez ring from losing charges?

All my accounts rest in peace and warmth knowing they will no longer contribute to funding julio and smed.

That'd kill balance, wont happen, it only functions on 'decay', not charges.

It's probably like that idea of using it on a single grenade w/ PuP ... just keep grinding with one grenade. I wonder if anybody's tested that version yet...

The simple answer to your question is "no".

Only items that can be insured can be placed into an anti-decay kit, such as weapons, armor, clothing, and tools. I also believe that the anti-decay kit will not accept a container of any kind, including backpacks and resource containers.
