Each night I make a single pass through these locations. On a few rare occasions Ive gotten to kill and loot a few +4 or +5 tapes from Aakuan cave. Ive never gotten to loot from Nyax, and Im using a speed sliced power hammer with powerup and have melee speed 1-2 so far.

Anyway, unlike my afk/loot macro friends(they're definitely farming cause you see them posting auctions two days later with 8 tapes on it) I'd like to get some nice tapes for myself and for a few friends who dont have the template to get them (through combat). Is there any static site besides Aakuan cave or Nyax's place that consistently drops tapes ? Ive tried nightsisters at their stronghold, got one crystal and several crappy lances after 2 weeks of killing recently but no tapes. Ive tried marauders on endor, nada except for some color crystals. Ive tried every npc on Lok and they only once dropped a +2 tape that didnt even work (conterattack).

Is there any other place to check ? Although I'd suspect that its camped too. I have no complaints against others wanting loot but it pisses me off seeing the same people (Imhotep is the worst offender in aakuan cave on eclipse) runninga loot macro. Im sick of only getting +1 tapes from magseal containers on Yavin. I want the good stuff...

Get into a solo group, go to Talus and get Aa'Kuan missions, they start at about 8400 credits, you can get the +4 and +5 SEA's from them too.

Ive done that too, many times over. I did it in the hopes of getting an aakuan ring. The ring isnt dropping at the moment apparently broke from last publish. And I didnt get a single tape as well.

wait until SOE starts making instanted caves and bunkers like the corvette for every one to enjoy not just the campers of the game.
