looted this off of a **battle droid** at the dwb, says its "gel packet used in filters to counter alum gas located in the mines"
is this for a rebreather? is this a rare loot? finally whats it worth??

Its crap max worth 10k, used for rebreathers in the mines which nobosy uses. Alot of people mistake Alum Gel Packet with Alum Mineral. You cant loot the Alum mineral which are used to make mando, they come from the quest inside the dwb.

Actually, you'd be surprised the number of people that use them. While it is not a very good idea for most non-Jedi characters to equip one as it takes up the helmet slot, it is extremely helpful in the mines for both Jedi and TKAs. Down in the mines, the alummine sickness in the air drains your action approximately 50%each time the message comes up.

The alum gel pack can be used to make a rebreather filter that can be placed in your rebreather to filter the alum gas in the mines at the bottom of dwb.

I think you need an artisan with like engineering 2 or something. I dont know exactly what you have to do in the rebreather room but it was really a pain to get some modded rebreathers made. Since the alum gas in the mines now takes down action instead of health, its kinda nice to have one.
