I am a Master TKA/Master Swordsman/Master Fencer. Can I solo Krayts? If so what kind, and what food should I take?

Ithorian mist and thakitillo, also brandy and canape, a good buff and a good weapon. It would be preferred if you also have some medic/doc skills to heal yourself. Don't forget to intimidate/warcry often and....good luck

yes. u should probably get some thak for KD defence against giants. and if u have no medic ur screwed

Hey Live4ever,

You can solo Krayts, but only the babies (called Juveline). I solo them as well, buffed. Make sure daddy or mummy Krayt isnt there, or you lead her or him away from the youngster dan then take the juvie out.

lol if a swordsman cant take on the canyons at least if not the giants they really need to give up swordsman... i solo juves with fencer if u cant take the canyons with swords thats just sad

Im a Master Riflemen and Master Swordsman 4040 Medicand i use 90% Kin Armour (now Non-Decay )so even an Ancient Krayt can be soloed if i had the time lol proberly about 30-45mins against 95% resists.

with my template i can solo with ease Juvi's - Canyons - Giants if im hunting Ancients its always nice to have a Jedi Knight or Commando around.

i find that the best loot comes from Juvi's and Canyons over the past week ive had more prems and Uber Tissue from these then from Giants which have been dropping crappy base tissue's in sets of 3, but loot is a funny thing and is different for everyone.

Last week i looted:

14 Premium Pearls

22 Quality Pearls

40 Sets of Tissue

Sold the lot while prices are still high made a mint

Juvies are the easiest and safest bet if you don't have medic skills.

I can take them on easily with pistols and no medic. They only have 15% resists to Acid so I just spam torso shot with a nice DX2 and keep them intimidated.

If you have no medic the amount of HAM you are gonna have to get through with a Canyon or above means your HAM is gonna get worn down before there's does.

You can take out krayts if you have proper equipment. A few tips:

85%+ Kinetic Armor is VERY helpful

Speed Capped Swordsman using a nice Power Hammer will make life a lot easier for you

Having x/x/4/x medic is nice, as you can use "D" stims

Get FULL mind buffs.

Quick Krayt Index:

Juvenille Canyon Krayt - 45k ham, medium armor, special attack: Posture Down

Canyon Krayt- 320k-390k ham, HEAVY ARMOR (60% vs all cept cold and LS), stun attack

Giant Canyon Krayt - 390k-470k ham, HEAVY ARMOR (70% vs all cept cold and ls), specials: Kd/Dizzy

Ancient Canyon Krayt - 410k-Too dam much ham, HEAVY ARMOR (95% vs everything cept LS), specials: Area Combo, KD/Dizzy

Now...i will make a comment about your template. Yes TKA is nice support, and fencer is too, but for pure efficiency, you may consider picking up Master Brawler. Having a 1 mintue 15 second intimidate is very convienent. Make sure you take care of your food (Brandy, Ahrisa). Make sure you CAN heal yourself. Check your armor before every fight and be concious of what is close to breaking. Wear a FULL suit of armor. If you even have one missing bracer, the Krayt will find that hole eventually.

Food List:

Vasarian Brandy +mind/focus/willpower (45 mintue ish)

Ahrisa +focus (45 mintue ish)

Ithorian Mist +def vs dizzy

Vagnarian Canape +focus/willpower (8 minute ish)

Pearl Drops:

Juvenilles drop Quality. Canyons and Giants drop Premium. Ancients drop flawless

Tissue Drops:

Myth says lower level ones cannot drop nice tissues. I looted a set of 11 identical +135 max tissues off a juvy, and a set of 8 +142 max tissues off a juvy. IF you hunt solo, I may recommend finding a juvy spawn (almost ALWAYS accompanied by a canyon), and killing only the juvys from the spawn. However if you are looking for pearls, you have to kill at least canyons.

Actually, you are looking at about2 hours. 50-100 damage (you will spend a lot of time intimidated) to 480k mind is 6400 hits, which at speed cap is almost 2 hours. Include time for intimidating the krayt, healing, standing up while dizzy/kd and you are looking at a long afternoon. Good times.
