What items are needed for the picture painter?

I have:

Paint dispersal unit

Blank Canvas

Paint cartridge

Broken hand held vid screen (tan)

I put them all in the picture painter thing but nothing has happened, am I supposed to bring it to someone or am I missing an item?

hmm.. I believe that should be all you need. Your using the White/Grey/Black Picture Printer right? Once you have put the tan hand held viewer, paint cartridge, paint dispersal unit and blank canvas in, it should give you a system message telling you that a painting was created and the printer kit was destroyed, leaving you with a new painting in your backpack in its place.

Do you have room in your backpack? That's the only thing I can think of that might be preventing it from working.

I tried it too the other day...didnt work...

proberly have to wait until they are done fixing the Loot errors. You also cant craft the Recycler schematics....

the picture printer uses the brown broken viewscreens, and the viewscreen printer uses the grey ones.

both printers require the follwoing items each:

Blank Canvas

Paint Dispersal Unit

Paint Cartridge

Viewscreen Technical Reader

and the broken vewscreen in question

i have tried both methods and they work fine...theres nothing broken or wrong with them.

Hmm i tried putting a technical reader in it but it wouldn't accpet it

I had 6 of these picture printers and dropped enough parts in them to make 2 dozen posters, but they still didn't work. Several people have reported this problem. Some say it is caused by logging off when making it, which makes the item forget what has been put in and just breaks. Others say you have to drop the items in in the order that is listed on the item.

Made one myself by throwing in the components in random order and it worked fine, so i guess this is a bug that happens random as well. You are either lucky and get the poster or the thing breaks.

What is certain to be a failure is to drop some items in, then log off and continue later. That never seems to work.

Pretty strange why SOE didn't make these work like the lootkits, would've saved a lot of problems.

I think the picture printer requires that you place the items in the printer in a particular order:

Try putting them in in thisorder:

"I see your Schwartz is as big as mine...
...Now let's see how well you handle it!"

i have made several of the picture printer and mever had to worry about the order they were put in. Ihave only used the viewscreen printeronce and it made the Coro Skyscraper painting.
