on kashyyyk you mean? kashyyyk has an entirely unique loot system - you'll never loot anything on Kash you would anywhere else, and vice versa. Most Kash loot is just for selling to junk vendors anyway. Apart from a few weak weapons nothing of practical general use.

A very simple summary. The "time consuming quests" do provide some of the coolest looking items in game. Great art, great weapons, Clone armour, Fantastic starships, superb JTL component rewards and the ability to mine in space (resources are selling for an insane amount at the moment) and cybernetics that grant unique abilities or skill mods.
Combine all this with a way to pass the time that does not involve find mob, kill mob, find mob, kill mob or even such silly things as mission terminals and we are starting to find some much needed immersion...
Here is an example of how the expansion does things....
BH Mission (that non BH's can take). You are told that a bount has been placed on a Trandoshan card cheat. The bounty was placed by the cantina manager on Kashyyyk. Speak with the cantina manager and you find out that the mark is headed to tatooine and probably mos Eisley. Shuttle to Eisley and you are attacked by some thugs under the employ of your mark. After you kill these you overhear someone talking about a poor sap who was cheated in Eisley cantina so you go find the cheated gambler. He informs you that the Trandoshan was last seen heading to the hills north of Eisley so you go hunting. After a short while you will find him, kill him, and collect your bounty. ROTW provides immersion that is very much missing from the rest of the game

There are junk quests and there are good quests - the proton carbine quest, trando pistol and rifleand the JSF quest come to mind. Also, the Kerritamba quest drops a pretty good 1h weapon. But none of the regular loot is much good.

Been playing the game for almost 2 yrs my immersion is broke. I think it was many patches ago. Anyways I am glad to see some are getting what they want from the expansion..but me I like to pvp/lootwhore. No immersion required.
