Thread: Missing Black Sun Ace Helmet and SOE CSR

After 1 week of doing Black Sun duty missions and killin over 1000+ tier4 and above black suns, I finally looted my Black sun ace helmet last sunday.... Needles to say I was very happy, and swore myself not to do anymore BS missions ever....
I log back in very next day and my BS Helmet is not in my inventory, I say (pray) to myself "okay, its just ghosted will be back if I logback in after 5 mins....nada...
So I file a ticket and a friendly CSR responds and tells me to wait for server reset, it is probably ghosted, so I log back in this morning and still nada... I add comment to my open ticket and a CSR tells me S/HE cant see it in my house or on me, and S/HE doesnt see any logs about it (I am thinkin chat window bug, my chat bars were bugged senseless that day) so they cant return it to me and finishes with " Thank you for playing SWG"
My question to any SOE rep is, OK Ican understand why you cant reimburse it (you dont trust my word),I want this helmet bad soI do these missions another week and kill another 1000+ of these BS and get another helmet, what happens if it dissappears again? You dont trust me, why should I trust you and do this 1 more week, heck I am paying you guys....

SOE needs to be humans. Seriously. I feel the people at SOE are robots.
*turns on robot voice* "I am sorry for your lost item. We cant do anything, because we are too lazy. And please, continue playing the game - We love money.
It should be like "Hey. Yeah, I can see its a bad situation. I can see you have been killing over 1000 BS, and it isnt in your house/bank/inventory, and you havnt traded it. Hmm, listen, I will give you another one."
The problem with this game is the customer service. Maybe they need to hire more people.

Usually, they need to have an exact date and rough location, plus an approximate time for when the item entered your inventory for them to do a proper search. I *highly* suggest you list those specifics in another CS report... assuming you werent that detailed the first time. The logs they search are on the server side, and 9 out of 10 times I've had stuff dissapear its because I crossed a server line and the 2 servers didnt sync data properly, resulting in the loss of the item. Thats why a fairly specific location ("in the area of WP xxxx xxxx xxxx") helps...
I've actually had "good" CSRs take the time to find out if the location was on or near a line and attempt to discover if there were logs on one or the other server that dont match. Imagine syncing your PDA to your computer and having it set wrong so the comp overwrites the PDA, re-writing a friend's *old* number in their entry on the PDA, instead of keeping the newer entry you made on the PDA while out with the friend.
I also had a friend loose space loot because his inventory was full and he didnt know it, yet kept getting the "have looted... " msg... I sure hope that wasnt the case with you!

Nope my inventory was damn near empty, and sad thing is my chat bars were all bugged (they destroyed themselves)
Like I said no answer from SOE as usual..... Nothing to see here move along, move along...

What is the big deal with these helmets? I got one as loot while doing a Tier 3 Mission today.... Are they just super rare or are they used for something?

They are EXTREMELY rare. And they sell for quite a hefty price on most servers. I've killed around 1000 Black Sun pilots myself with now drop yet. However my @$$hole friend looted 4 of them in the span of 2 missions back a few months ago.

Heh. Sounds like a guildmate of mine. The day these went live he took a Tier 4 Black Sun duty mission and looted the helm on his first kill. To this day I still haven't looted one. *sigh* I hate my guildmate lol.
