Thread: Question on Post CU lootist temp
I quit playing SWG shortly after the CU came out but i'm back now.
I really enjoyed doing PvE looking for loot before the CU. At the time i had a temp that alowed me to solo quite a few things and get pretty good loot. i could solo the geo cave, black sun, kimo's if i was carfull i could take elders out too. now obviously the things that people hunt for good/decent loot nowdays has probably changed. From what ive been reading so far it sems like solo play be a bit more realistic than i had once thought.
so i guess my main questions would be: Is it posable to run solo and collect decent loot? And what temp do people use now for doing so?
I'm not really to familiar with all the post CU so i dont expect a complete catch up but layout what you think will be usefull to me and let me know, i will need all the help i can get. thank youvery much

Well, many people get decent loot off the BH missions. High end NPC missions. So you might include BH as one of your prof's. I find that healing is pretty essential now with harder hitting NPC's and upper end +80 critters....so I would suggest some medic or even going Combat Medic. A template like MBH/MCM/with say 4000 of Rifleman gives you some nice hard hitting shots, extra defenses with BH, ability to run BH missions for loot, plus the Rifleman tree adds Head Shot which can be spammed with Adv. Critical Shot for a nice combination on two different timers.
This happens to be my current template and in terms of doing any tanking and having a ranged proffesion I think it is fairly effective. I can dish out good damage while also healing myself for 2,000 pts (with good enhancers and maxed out HE points). Plus, dropping some fire and poison on a high end mark your fighting, like an NPC, can really add up some damage over a 10-15 min fight (my fire and poison tick for over 650 combined....which adds up).

I can solo everything I have come accross, so far. The highest is a cl86 krayt of some sort. I hunt with all the trimmings though... Best food/drink, best stims and cm enhancements. great guns and armor too. I have never seen anybody solo krayts (not saying they are not any). I suspect its because I have CM healing. I can take a beating forever if I just stand there and do nothing. rationing my action to outdamage the krayts regenis all I have to worry about...
I left before the CU and just came back. Only took a week to test out my template before I learned how to use it.
CM is pretty tough with the heals. Gonna try some DJK's and DJM's soon to see how long I can hold up on my own...
