Forgive me if this has been brought up before, but I was reading some posts on how people hate it when their group is taking down something big, and then a Jedi or Sniper not grouped with them kills it and gets the loot because it did more damage. This is a concern in the new group looting plan. Would it make sense to make anyone attacking something your group is attacking attackable? Did I lose anyone? So if me and my friends are attacking an Acklay say, or an Elder, and then some Uber dork runs in and steals our kill out from under us, he becomes attackable by the group. If we were all working together, even though he's attackable it's no big deal because we won't attack him. This might prevent someone from jumping in on your kill. I haven't dealt much with Jedi, but is a large group a bit much to overcome for one? Anyway, that's it. Simply put:

Make Kill Stealers attackable by the group the MOB was originally attacked by...

In SOE code of conduct Kill stealing is a form of griefing and actions can be taken on the offending playeraccording tothe guidelines.

Which means SOE will turn away while it happens.

QFE

Best course of action available to you is to /congrat and find something else to do.

If a poisonous snake is dropped on top of you from a gyrocopter, don’t freak out and shoot your own driver with your arrow gun, making the vehicle lose control and blow up. Its probably just as scared as you are.

Negative. Last week a Dev posted to clarify this issue and said that no one has ownership of an MoB in this game, and as such there is no such thing as kill stealing. How can you steal something that doesn't belong to anyone in the first place?

I don't like KSing but I rather we have the possibility of being KSed then engagements like FF and EQ2.

Yeah,

This smells of those people who run around shouting "MINE" usually found in the Tusken Fort.

Best way to deal with a Rifleman or Jedi who is stealing your Krayt or Elder or whatever is to get on your bike and dissengage. These guys do not fair too well without a tank.

I'm not too worried about a single person KSing.. Whatever to that.

My own personal concern with Ksing is when you and a friend, or something, are out hunting and then some vehement guild comes over and steals it. Seems to be a serious issue on all the servers... Vehement guilds camping spawn points like Nyax or dungeons ruining it for the rest of the server.

Which is why I believe all future dungeons should be instanced.. Instanced dungeons that are made for grinding, soloing or grouping for advanced players.

Don't like losing kills either but I think most solution to this present greater problems that take away greatly from the game or just change the way it is people camp.

This is best solved with organzation and social interaction. On our server it only takes 4 speed capped RM to beat the best exceptional T21. And speed capped RM or a dime a dozen.

So if you want sharing or your share just organize what it takes to control the spawn then you can let anyone you want loot it and share in any way you want.

Well, I don't know if this was directed at me or not, but again, this is not an issue I deal with...just something I noticed in reading some forums and thought I'd present a possible solution. It may be rubbish...just throwing an idea out there.
