Can someone explain to me how the function of the anti-decay kit was changed in the latest patch. In the patch notes it says you can use it now to reset an items durability to maximum. Does this only work once or do you get unlimited uses ?

Ok lets say you want to anti-decay a weapon. The weapon is at 300/900. Apply anti-decay kit and weapon is repaired to 900/900, but if you want to use the anti-decay kit again you have to destroy thet weapon, so it can not be used as a repair tool. It was meant to put stats back to full on decayed weapons and armor, nothing else.

I doesnt work that way with pearls. Reason being mods on pearls dont drop when they reach 25%. Plus you would be able to have one anti-decay kit and keep swapping pearls in and out to repair them, always having fresh pearls for all your sabres.

Ya but does the weapon/armor still not suffer condition loss upon firing/taking hits ?

This is the most important factor that determines if these items are gamebreaking (and thus in such high demand)

No. The weapon will not degrade either by use or specials/cloning. The condition was increased to max to prevent degeneration below the 25 percent mark, which was a bug when using the kit. Now, the weapon or armor piece is fully restored and still does not decay as designed. The only caveat (anda fair one I believe considering the power of the kit) is that you have to destroy the item to regain use of the kit.

Now Im more confused than before.

So basically not much has changed...you use the kit on an item which the gets back its full durability and no longer decays...and if you want to use the kit again you have to destroy this item....is that correct ?

But that was exactly the way the kit functioned before the patch, why the patch notes then and what was changed ??

There was a problem with weapons that had under 25% of their condition. Normally when a weapons condition is that low it's stats start to decay. With weapons in decay kits the condition wouldn't go down any further but every time you put a power up on the stats of the gun would decay despite being in a Anti decay kit. This fixes that.

on your first question, yes that is correct.

on your second, what changed is that the weapon will now go to full condition, so it will not suffer any reduction in spd/damage from the weapon condition being below 25% which it was doing before the update. Hope this clarifies
