Have you ever started grinding through a proffession, and ended up really liking it, and wanting to keep it, but you cant cause you have to keep grinding? I've encountered this so many times it hurts. I really enjoy the proffs I'm doing, and I master them, and I think, this whole holo system is absolutely stupid, I should just stay with what i have now and enjoy myself. But then a few days later I see a jedi or something and I think, I've come to far to quit! and i'm no quitter! so i'll master a few more, and i'll like those too lol. Rinse and repeat.

the above post should make no sense, should be offensive, and should get flamed. the ideas contained herein should be absurd and insane. If for some reason the above post shows compassion, intelligence, sanity, or kindness I highly suggest you run like hell, a major change has just ripped through the world.

i've only mastered a couple. armorsmith was not the most fun to grind, but i learnt about the psg's and my first case of tell hell. i may open up another acount and just have a smuggler/armorsmith because its such a cool prof. its funny because i started out grinding up to armorsmith, and then dropped it the first week i was playing. and then the last week of april it was my holo. talk about having the force in me j/k.

i found it hard to drop rifleman and ch. but it was necessary.

tka is what im workin on now and its probably the most fun i've had in game.

i've found the profs that take the least amount of time, like medic for instance is something i wont be keeping, other than the quick healing line.

ones im waiting to try are bio engineer, ranger and pistoleer.

i am keeping tka for a very long time, as my back up prof while i grind out the rest of the artisan stuff.

God Emperor of Dune could Sooooooooooo own Vader

/agree to the highlighted. But only in his post human, pre worm state. Only because it would be more action packed....if he was in full worm state, it would be like spaceballs when lonestar tried to cut through lord helmets...helmet...

lol indeed it would, but yeah in his form where hes got the sandtrout all over him a battle would be awesome. He's got the equivalent of force strength and speed, and the sandtrout are incredibly reistant to heat, which a saber puts out alot of. That and hesa GOD with a dagger. Vader would have a hundred of little holes in him before he could swing his saber

True, i give it a 60 40 in the God emperors favor...Vader did beat the hell out of the Jedi order...so I have to give him the long shot on this one.

When I started the grind I was a TKM and loved it, then I started my holos and the first one was chef, so I did that and kept TKM, then I realised I liked chef so kept it and dropped TKM. The grind continued with brawler and artisan, then the chef revamp came along and I decided I didn't like the idea of relying on BEs to make decent stuff so dropped it for Master Doc. Kept master doc for months and really hoped I'd never have to drop it as I relied on buffs so heavily. Then came the theory that I'd have to do a hybrid profession to unlock which meant dropping doc But then wookiee armour came out so buffs weren't so important to me so the grind continued. Did commando and loved it until mokks KD dizzied me and I never got back up. Did smuggler and loved it fullstop, attempted Bounty Hunter but after a week of logging in, getting buffed then realising I really can't be bothered travelling the galaxy to set an NPC on fire I gave up and did ranger. It unlocked for me and I had 2 days of fun sitting around in huge camps and selling avian meat. I've now returned to being a master smuggler and a master fencer and will work on TKA 4-0-0-0 once I can be bothered. The moral of the story is that although dropping the professions suck at the time there may be a much better profession out there for you. Having done 22 professions I feel confident that my current template is the right one for me and I've no interest in dropping them for other professions now. If it wasn't for the grind I'd probably still be a TKM Master Heavy Swordsman and probably an ex-SWG player too.

Pretty much all of the profs that I completed, except for Entertainer. I couldn't wait to drop that one.

to me this is one of the advantage you get from grinding: getting a taste and feel for every single profession.

not only does this allow you to experience more of the game content, but you also have the edge of knowledge on your side, knowing what all professions can do (their strengths, weaknesses, etc).

for me i loved fencer so i ended up keeping it for the duration of my hologrind. the only time i had to drop master was for combat medic but immediately went right back up the tree again when i was done . sure it's a little slower, but at least i'm not a completely broken hologrinder if i feel like a little PvP.
