ok I'm not thrilled that i didn't fill several vendors and houses with loot and pearls when they were dropping.
Hell I never got a chance at lord nayx's aa's and ca's do to campers, so I'm glad the campers are bumbed.
Look in real life supply and demand is always changing, and we must adapt.
this was going to be a flame at all the bitchy whiny babies that complain the day after xmas there are no more gifts.
WE got gifts, if you are hooked on loot, hooked on just one single thing on the game like killing krayts for pearls - tough.
this game is so dam easy (grinding wise for profs) and loot is all over the place compared to just a few months ago.
Heck I know some of us/you just want superman codes and even then you wouldn't be happy.
OK the younger people i don't expect to understand just enjoying the enviroment and working to achive something, most now a days even have there thinking and choices made by MTV or VH1, but you older people ned to set and example.
Yes I have complaints, But SOE has given us a sand box, we make the fun, if it rains use it, don't sit and complain about getting wet.
the loot profile has gone way up and is coming down big deal, it will return agian.
Just a point of view > read these threads agian > are we acting like spoiled children for the most part. (some complaints are valid.)
just another point of view > if you want a game that has no challange and loot and jedi is handed to you for no work - watch a movie isn't that the same thing.
The energy we spend stomping our feet and flaming is a waste of time and energy, meet every bug, change, nerf, as a challange and you will be happier and enjoy the game more, or maybe a differant game more!
By no means am i a passavist, and am one to just take being messed with, but most of the people that play this game are above normal intelligance (even if some can't spell or type like me) use that gift to have fun, isn't that what this is all about???????????????????????
Look I don't mean to preach and I have no right to!
Let's just have some fun together and help make a good game better!

I take it you are the guy killing durnies outside coronet with a cdef pistol for the challenge of it, right? I think i might be joining you, since there is no point to doing any other pve, and it is certianly a lot gentler on the armor.

Actually, he's a realist and despite some grammar issues (which I can't spell for crud either), his post was very well thought out and very mature compared to the drivel you just wasted 2 seconds to type out

your right, myother postis pretty much a piece of crap. Didn't think it through before i put it down. What i mean to say is, ya, there is always change, but this loot crap is game breaking. Ok, so loot is nerfed. Now that phase 4 is gone (sith thugs are fun), the only thing with working loot is Faction NPC's. Yawn. Please, is that the only thing available to me? I want to be rewarded for my effort. Ya, fighting a night sister elder is one of the funnest things i do in the game. However, part of the thing that makes her so fun, is the moment of anticipation right after you loot, and it says "you have completely looted the corpse of all items". It is even better when you open your inventory and see a skill tape. Oh, baby, I wonder what the high stat on that one will be. That is the part I savor. Now what do I do? Blah, kill krayt, blah, whoo hoo scales, blah, do laps around coronet killing rebels blah. blah PvP, dotted and ganked by 5 jedi blah.
When Night Sister Elders got nerfed from droping crystals at a rate of 1:4 to about 1:8, i adapted by going to krayts. Now both are looted. In fact, all good loot is nerfed. Unless you PvP or Craft, there is NOTHING TO DO. I have tried, and do both, but i hate being forced to go to them for entertainment. I want to PVE, and i PVE because of the loot!

Hi migram:
I actually think it was one of your posts that prompted mine, funny you would be the first to reply.
the funniest thing is yesterday I was outside coro taking out a bunch of swoop leaders, I did get a few posters i have never seen including the RIS one i had been looking for, but thats besides the point.
To take it to its limit what I'm trying to say is: your fun in this game is a choice and it is one you make - we can complain about everything we want ( I was born on a thrus day not a monday) and it means nothing, We were born!
Find other ways, and there are alot, to have fun, want a challage mentor a newb - sheesh I'd rather fight a NS elder with a wod staff.
Look back at my posts I have been here since the begging and was no differant than everyone else, I felt betraid, let down, pissed off, but a freind asked if its so annoying why play? Well I like the game, but.... Then stop whining and play or dont'? < my friend
So I'm playing and after 2 yrs at it I'm staring to have a blast, and I want you to have fun too! so I'm sharing this with you, I'm mostlkly to stupid to do it well, but good intentions, you know!
thanks agian,

I agree with you to a point. There are certianly many ways to have fun. However, I do not like being forced to have fun dev style. "Sorry Milgram, you only get to have fun in PvP and Crafting, PvE and Looting is off limits now." I have a 12 point chef, and a dedicated PvP toon with a 690 198% potency mind poison pistol, so it isn't like i am not having fun in crafting or pvp because i suck at it. I just plain do not have as much fun doing them. It drives my friend crazy that i do not want to PvP day and night. I just do not enjoy it as much. This is going to sound very cleche, and lame, but isn't the point of a game to have fun? Honestly, isn't it? How would all the PvPers respond if the devs decided to remove all faction recruiters. Oh, don't worry pvpers, you can still /duel each other. Ok, ya, that wouldn't piss them off. I am sure the new kind of dev enforced PvP fun--dueling--would soon catch on, and players would realize "wow, all this time, i never realized that endlessly dueling people--usually with no deathblow because people are sissy--is tons and tons and tons and tonsof fun."
That is great that you looted a painting. I already have a house full of them, and i have a bunch sitting in my inventory because i can't think of where to put them. I did paintings for a while. I have done just about everything for a while. What I like is high end loot. If that is gone, you are right, it is time for me to move on, but the fact that I like high end loot will not change, the game probably will.

one last thing and I'll leave you alone - ok
take a break! I stopped playing for a couple weeks and it helped.
I know you tried this, I shrug my shoulders.
I understand but i do believe the devs are trying to do right, Why would they do wrong.
Yes there goal is to stretch out the game so we have to continue our account month after month, but not to a point where we all quit.

I had 4 months of army training i had to go to (im in the reserve). I am going to Iraq in june, so i would like to see some fixes now so i can enjoy myself before i goaccross the lake. Ya, a break would probably be good, but I enjoy SWG as it is now. I hold absolutely no hope for the combat "upgrade". I think it is going to be a totaly piece of crap, just like most of the new stuff the DEVs try to implement. It will be completely full of buggs for about the first 5 months, and exploiters will run around taking advantage of everything that is broken. Now the devs have nerfed things to the point where we can't even enjoy the last month(s) of the presant system before they introduce the new (almost assuredly) bug ridden combat system. If you don't believe that the new system will be bugged to the max, please site for me instances where the devs have undertaken major revamps and there were no buggs. I am actually interested in the answer, because, honestly, i cannot think of even 1.

I gave masteroftruth and everybody in this discussion 5 stars, because of the calm, rational point of view displayed in this thread, a refreshing change from some of the other posts. Preach on brotha!
It makes sense to me that loot goes in cycles, a lot like resources, it should shift every few days/weeks.
Iunderstand some of the players are concerned that they aren't getting the loot they wantright now. Hehe,I'veslaughteredscores of Black Suns trying to get even one piece of Bounty Hunter armor and I'll whine about it to anybody who'll listen, but all these shrill, "omg the sky is falling" posts are growing wearisome. I've been reading the forums too much I guess.
Please just take a step back and relax friends, you are paying your hard earned credits to play a game run by a huge faceless corporation who in turn pays a group of talented programmers to endlessly massage a bohemoth program consisting of millions of lines of code day in and day out, you gotta understand that changes and improvementstakes time! Take a break, play in the sun (or snow) and come back refreshed!
Now for me, I'm just gonna gotake outsome of those meddlesome Rebels that are occupying the big cities, they drop lotsa teh uber brown broken datapads, I even looted *gasp* a SEA once! (Don't worry, it had broken stats, rifle crawl speed or something)
Long Live the Empire!

Hi everyone, i think the dev's are consentrating on the wron issues, many of the classes have broken specials, even armorsmith the armor is borked, they NERF our way o making money but Give the ablility to a BH 1 class to make twice as much. they have been pretty much screwing everyone but the bountyhunters.
this is a fact. now they nerf Feign Death cause the BH said to. THEY NERF CAUSE OF BH read the bounty hunter forums. yes loot should be hard to get,yes we should all have fun. but shouldn't be forced to PVP no matter what proffession you choose. soon smugglers will be bountied. and now 50% of all thier skills are NERFED. i have been here since day 1 and well SOE doesn't know game improvement. they alway's NERF cause they favor their baby proffession Bounty Hunters. they dont listen To TKM or Swordsman.its sad but true.

Thanks for the possitive support!
Like you mentioned doing many of my guild that were never very active in PvP, have in the last few days started to get active, they are having fun.
I last night for the first time helped a friend and one other person clear thatcrystal camp at the end of the FS grind.
the best PvE battle I have ever had 1 ms, 1tkm, and 1MR and it was touch and go for about a 1/2 hr, what a blast.
I know I might be slow at doing things like i said I have been playing on Flurry since week 2-3, But as aGuild leader, Mayor and once architec I spent alot of my time helping others and supporting the guild.I have just started in the last 8 months togo out and explore every planet, and every cave.
I have another Idea for the super experianced bored guys, (just an Idea) start a tour guide company.
I have noticed a new batch of newbs, set up excursion to places they aren't high enough to go to, or just dont know about.
I ran into a group that was on Yavin, when i first saw them just started laughning, but then got very interested in what the guide was telling eveyone, so i tagged along for 1/2 hr. it was great.
It was a group of 5-6 newbs and 2 guides, one guide would tell stories or point out things. the other would engage a mob and the other would explain how to "examine the mob look for weekness and switch weapons" and so on.
I think that was one of the coolest things i have seen, when I talked to one of the tour guides, he said thatdoing this was one of the most difficult and fun things to do, he has to keep everyone alive, together, and interested.
He said he did alot of research online in the xpanded universe of starwars ency.
Just an Idea
take care,
