Thread: Post-CU SEA application system

I've just looted some nice CAs and wanted to check out how much I could expect to get for them. In my search I happened upon a post-CU skill tape guide ( http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=tailor&message.id=58011....

Does anyone else think this system is terrible? Every tape that I have found has 3 different stats...which basically means that 3 slots will be taken up in any clothing item when applying the SEA....thus leaving only 1 slot free for another CA (and even then you can only apply a tape that has a maximum of *one* bonus).

I much prefer the old system in which only 1 mod would apply (and you could predict which that would be pretty easily). Sure you missed out sometimes if you got a nice +25/+25 with 2 skill mods you needed, but as it is now 2 extra worthless mods on a decent + 1h LS speed tape will drop the value by at least half I think, simply because that tape will effectively use up an entire piece of clothing (basically).

Thoughts? ....or workarounds?

Depending on the stat values, work the max amount out of the sockets.

Lets say you are a carbineer and you have:

Battle fatuige healing 8

Carbine Accuracy 12

Melee defense 9

You don't need to loose a socket to the BF mod. Find yourself a usefull double or two usefull singles, put those in first and then the acc and def mods will fill in the last remaining sockets. If you have a tied mod it is alphabetical. Basically, where ever possible make sure you don't put 3 mod seas in your cloths/armor first. Toss something more usefull in and then fill the remaining sockets based off the tripple mods values.

BH missions do drop double and single mods, auk missions drop doubles and singles. I like this way alot better because on a multi mod sea with actually usefull numbers, you don't have to loose one of the good mods. Just think the whole thing through, and pad your peice before hand if necissary.

Thanks for the info -- that does make sense. However from my experience getting a 1 or even a 2 CA mod is difficult....all of my BH loot tapes havehad triple mods, and I thought A'akuans got nerfed? In addition, the chance of getting 1 out of 3 for a useful mod on a SEA is ok, but the chances of 2 or all 3 mods being useful (and complementary) is pretty remote.

Just a luck of the draw I guess. I've had some pretty good 2 mod ca's drop from BH missions. And sometimes you'll get one that is 3 mods, but all mods are good

a 2 mod CA I looted:

GeneralMelee Speed: 12, Ranged Defense:12

a 3 mod AA I got recently:

Pistol Defense:6, General Ranged Accuracy:6, Ranged Defense: 7

Both of those were from BH marks, and both have good mods on all the slots. Just need to be lucky I guess

on a ca i got from a bh mission it was 2 mods and they were pistol def and gen ranged speed so you do get one with more than one good mod its just luck.
