Anyone looted one of these? I'd never even heard of it until I got one earlier.

Got one on Kashyyyk. Placed it in house and it works like a lamp. Kinda kool...

These have been in SWG for quite awhile. Even before RotW. They're justa useless item... don't even give off light.

I think people are talking about 2 different items here. The item that is looted from Kashyyyk is called a Glowstick, its looted from the Sayormi in the Dead Forest. It does give off light.
The Work Light is an item looted off of random things, normally commoners and such (Good place to find them is in Kimogila Town on Lok). It doesn't give off light, but it still looks pretty nice.
