Ahhh, nothing like a little fun at the players expense. Look at what Tiggs has posted on the "In Live" forum.
You are right Tiggs. It is all just a big coincidence that Nyax, Elders and Krayts aren't droping good loot any more. If all loot were borked, i could believe that it is just another case of Developer incompetance, but common, how dumb do you really think we are? You should have stuck with plan A: Ignored the issue, and not commented at all. Plan a probably isn't as fun though, right

Funny thing is, SOE is so disorganized that I consider it pretty much equally likely that
A. It really is a bug, and
B. It's a lameeffort to punish Jedi and AFK macro looters, and Tiggs wasn't informed.

Lol, are you kidding me? You really think it is just a bug? Only pearls, crystals and Nyax are broken. Ya, I am sure that is completely random and once the devs figure out that they forgot the " at the end of line 1265 it will all be fixed.

not just pearls , crystals, nyax. Include Janta (bloods, knives), nyms (motor, High energy capacitors), possibly gorax (unsure on this 7 kills seems unusually unlucky). I am sure there are more, these just the ones I look for on a semi-regular basis

It could be a bug, but I don't really think so, myself. All the loot that seems to have either stopped or drastically slowed down is all the stuff that's usually camped. Other stuff, like old loot kit pieces, posters, most new loot kit pieces, and so on seem to be dropping pretty normally, at least for me. I can't comment on Krayts, I've never actually killed one. Alot of them have killed me, though.

About 8 nightsister elders killed, looted about 40 heavy duty leather / clasps in total... never looted one on an elder before so the group gave up

Ok, ya, a lot of loot is screwed, but consider this. Krayts used to drop pearls, tissues and scales. Now, mysteriously, they are droping segments instead of pearls. NightSisters are droping everything except crystals. How can a random bug nerf all high end loot, but preserve the crap? The first time loot got screwed truely was a bug. Nothing was droping more than credits. Everywhere, accross the board, nothing but credits. Now, plenty of crap, none of the good stuff. Hmmmm...
Common, can the "code is so complex" excuse still be used? It has only been a year and 3/4 since launch. Are the devs still in the getting to know you phase of programing? How hard can it be to look at a loot table and go "Ah, i see, the pearl drops have been replaced by segments. Copy, paste, delete, there all fixed."
Either the loot tables are bugged (again) or the devs are deliberately nerfing high end loot. Both options should be raising alarm bells. If it is the first, the devs are still incompetant, and all need to be fired and replaced. If it is the second, the devs (via Tiggs) are lying to their customers, and need to be fired and replaced. The devs pretending to not know anything about this, and saying "please, tell us what krayts you are fighting, and which loots you are getting is increadably insulting. "Well, Tiggs, there are only 4 types of Krayt, and NONE ARE DROPING PEARLS!!" See why i find this a little frustrating?

Maybe they want to make it harder for everyone and their 3rd alt to have the most amazing stuff in the game. ie, loot nerfs. But I can't really complain, today I got a sith holocron

Ya, this defenently only hurts the power gamers. Nooblets like you are still going to be able to go get all the pearls you want, right?
