Hello everyone,

This is in the trade forum too.

I need a working datadisk for my "fixed" datapad. Can anyone help with where to get the components to fix my corrupt data disk? So far I have a magnetic reader I think.

Also, I have all the parts for a viewscreen printer except a canvas. Does anyone know where to loot one from.

I have read thru the fourms, and am looking for very reliable places if you know of them.

I am also willing to purchase either if you have them. Send an offer in game to Oerivo, nothing reasonable refused.

To finish off your empty datapad, you need the fixed datadisk.

Parts needed is datadisk repair kit, magnetic reader, magnetic burner, recovery software, generic wiring, and a corrupted data disk. Put all pieces in repair kit and out comes a datadisk. Drag this into the datapad and you can then "use" the datapad.

A lot of the parts above are looted from low-end mobs. I've found them on the mobs located just outside Kaadara near the imperial base (SE from the starport).

As for the blank canvas, I haven't looted any of these from mobs since the most recent patch. But then again, haven't been trying to since they first came out. I originally looted them from Valarian, Jabba, and Swoop npcs on Tatooine. There usually is a spawn of one of these in each of the Tatooine cities with a starport.

You can loot blank canvas outside Dearic (Talus) from sleemos or chunkers (they're like meatlumps from Corellia)

I got a bunch of these from Sleemo's behind the starport in Deric on Talus last night along with a bunch of paint cartridges.

And what is up with that smell?

You can usually buy all the pieces need off the bazaar. Look Under Misc Items->Generc Items

Yeah.. I picked up 6 blank canvases on the bazaar on Chilastra.

Question, what do you get once the datadisk kit is fully assembled??

Yeah I would also like to know what the "Fixed Datapad" does.
