I keep seeing posts where Loot from spot A was good and now stinks, and others saying Loot used to stink here, but not over here...

Is it possible that Loot spawns in a similar fashion to resources now? Loot may be good for these NPC's now, but in a week it will change and then it will be good for these other NPC's?

I've spent some time running around and killing various NPC's looking for Recycler items and it just seems that sometimes the loot is there, and sometimes its not.

Could this be an attempt by the Dev's to cause us to spread out and look around the Galaxy some more?

Or am I just being paranoid and seeing a Conspiracy here?

the last few week i have been gathering faction points at the weapon facility on naboo (SW area of naboo) and what i have seen it that some days after running around there for 3 hours, i got no special loot other then cargo pockets and some crappy weapons, and other days i got CA, AA, holocrons and so on.

so to some exstend i would agree with you that there "might" be a "loot cycle" of some sort, or maybe im just unlucky some times

What people forget is that loot is more or less based on a table of probability. Its all math, and what keeps it random. Some days may appear to be more profitable than other areas, but the probability varies depending on mob and item "level".

It does cycle some-what. Used to be very difficult to find the Valley View paintings, now I loot so many of them from Mummer Thugs I have been deleting them. I used to always get the parts to datapad repair kits, except for wiring...now I get wiring, and all the rest, except the kit itself. This is all from the same guys as well...so I believe it is cycling or changing somewhat as it goes!

well i thoght "time" had something to do with it, but seems not . i had concluded that, u need to stay in one spot for at least 30 mins or longer to see "most" of the loot cycle for a particular gang....but the other day i sign on walk out and first 2 kills, victory posters, 2 of them... stayed all day trying for more , none...tried 3 days in a row... so ya there is a cycle but i think its random... for what its worth... BTW st ATAX SHINOBA on eclipse for weapons components armor coms. , blue rugs, feed tubes, and other loots of intrest....

It has always had cycles though. I go out to the Rancor spawn and won't loot one jar of bile, or one armor segment for two hours, then in the course of 20 mins, I will fill my inventory with loot off of every 3rd Rancor. It is crazy like that. I have the same thing happen at the Hyperdrive Facility on Rori. Nearly an entire set of buffs, and nothing but crap weapons, then all of a sudden I am looting CAs, AAs, DoT weapons, and skill mod weapons... Haven't looted a holocron in about 5 trips out there though.
