Thread: sooooo, krayt spawns back to being Graveyard only?

seen none in my usual haunts since last publish. haven't checked GY of late. And not that static spawn that always there, i mean the random juveys, canyons, giants

any observations/experiences so far?

or is that 0,0 Tat bug indicitive of a general tat spawn bug?

Checked the area by the carkon (sp) pit and looks like they are finally zoning areas and that area is now < level 15 with no krayts.

Bummer to see the krayts go but I think giving areas their own characteristic spawns and difficulty is a good trade off.

mmmmmmi suppose. I rather enjoyed the landscape in a 3K radius around that area better. On my server GY is one giant metropolis. ugly

Krayts have become basically extinct on Chilastra....again, only ones left are the static spawns. 0 0 bug is nowehere near as bad as the announcement made it seem, just a whole lot of camps with a corsec guy and a few CM trainers there. Odd nonetheless but i was expecting hundreds of mobs there.

mmm again, yeah i have yet to see a krayt cept the static spawn that's always there. Retarded amount of bantha and dewback spawns everywhere


so are krayt spawns borked along-side the 0,0 and the mission terminal bug. Bugged spawns on tat in general?

Bria's krayt spawn is pretty much dead. I've heard some guildies say they looted a pearl (which means it wasnt the static spawn) but the last few times I've gone and searched for an hour and theyre's been none there. People on the Bria forums are saying its the PVE bases that are constantly being put up (and theres really no point to those except faction farming)

Tiggs made an announcment that krayt spawns were modified. Not sure what that means but I could only assume they've made them spawn only around the graveyards again. Didn't people scream and yell for more spawns outside that area sometime back? This publish gets worse everyday.

I have seen them everywhere. Near the graveyard, near jabba's palace, and just at random locations that I usually dont see em.

I've got a theory about this... not sure if it's on the right track, but maybe some people could provide some input on it.... so... here it goes.


Lets say that a particular region of a planet (I think planets are broken up in to sections - server boundaries - something like that) is able to accomodate X number of spawns at any given time. This number includes BOTH wild spawns and mission generated spawns (static spawns to not count in here). As the number of mission generated spawns increases, where grind groups take the mission, spawn it by getting close, and never taking it out, the number of Wild spawns has to be reduced.


Every time I've gone looking for Krayts and can't find any..... I usually notice that most of the spawns in the area are NAMED lairs... swarming lesser dewback lair, etc., as opposed to "brambles".


Tattooine has become another spot to grind lately since Dantooine has been quite laggy and overcrowded. The Krayts may be there after a server reset, but as the grind groups move in, the Krayts (and other wild spawns) seem to start vanishing.


However, I've also noticed that periodically, it seems that spawnsseem to be"reset" occasionally between Server Restarts.... not sure if I'm just imagining it, but it seems like 1am EST on the east coast seems to be a decent time to go looking for Krayts lately.


Is this a possible explanation? If so.... we'll just need to start cleaning out all the extra spawns we see.

i've also noticed that when no krayt around (in my old pre-24 hunts) alll that was around were mission lairs


booked out for an hour after the last reset. no krayts in any of my usual haunts. Just dewback and bantha spawns littering the lanscape every 20m...was waaaaay too late so never got to check out GY environs.


Guess I'll take a looksie.


I hate the GY for hunting, it's sooo limited, and urban-sprawled.
