Thread: help... what does Melee Defense Cap at???

+125 counting both skill boxes and skill tapes.
Food and squad leader bonuses both stack on top of that cap.
And caps are going away in the CU.

What is the true (unless they change it) cap for Melee defense and ranged defensefor CU?
I made a char that has roughly 255 melee and 225 ranged on TC. Those numbers "true"?

From my understanding, there are no longer any caps on skills (although the +25 max bonusfrom skill tapes is still enforced). There's some system of diminishing returns, so the relative improvement going from 100 to 125 is larger than going from 200 to 225. As a for-instance, say at 100 defense you get hit 50% of the time, at 125 you get hit 40% of the time, at 200 you get hit 30% of the time and at 225 you get hit 25% of the time. Increasing the skill is still an improvement, but the benefit "flattens out" at higher levels.
I don't think there's been enough testing to figure out the "curve", it'd probably require a lot of samples and some hefty number crunching.
