I don't know if they are junk, or part of a quest, but I looted them off of some npcs when I was doing a part of the Rebel Theme Park for Han Solo. I'm not asking for market price, just a description of what they are good for.

If I remember correctly, those are part of the Rebel Theme park quest, the Han Solo part.

Alot of Deliver quests use them for items. I believe the quest on Dantooine to get the Imperial personal shield uses that for one.

There as so many different "versions" of the Holocron Splinters it isn't funny. And they're all only crappy decorations.

There's the ones you get from NPC deliver missions.
You used to get them from the Rebel theme park.
Back before there were Jedi, there was some Holocrons that people could get (and they weren't very rare). Once the "new" Holocrons came in and told people different professions to master, the Devs turned the old Holocrons into splinters. Was a bummer, really, for it would've been nice to have them just been turned into a kind of useless Holocron.

Before the great holocron craze of '03/'04, the devs "broke" all existing holocrons by sending some sort of (so-called) "surge of force energy" through them, resulting in holocron splinters. The old holocrons were then replaced by the ones that whispered professions in your ear, urging you to further damage the community by falling into the mindless solo grind and alienate your guildmates. But I digress.

These days, Jedi eat holocrons when they're feeling under the weather, but once upon a time, all those holocron splinters (even on the Rebel Themepark) used to be actual holocrons. Now they're nothing but decoration.

lol i remember the first time i looted holocron splinters back in like august of 03 or something...thought i was going to become a jedi from that because they had just said something about holocrons, little did i know it meant the full holocrons.....wishful thinking i guess....

i had one of those about a year ago and i just sat it on a little table in my house....never really looked into ways of getting rid of it...

i have no idea how i got it or anything, i can't remember for some reason....im sure someone has more information that I

Hehe i looted a holocron splinter off a Dark Jedi Master that was running rampant in the Mining Outpost the other day

. As for the undroppable holocron it's probably from the Jedi Ruins POI Quest on Dantooine. You can only use it if you are jedi and it will recharge your force bar fully.

I have a sith holocron but for some reason it is not sellable, droppable, destroyable, or usable! What do I do with it? Whats its worth ? Why can't I sell it?
