Thread: Great idea for a new vet reward/2 year SWG anniversary gift

Hello everybody, just thought I'd share an idea that I think would make a great vet reward or 2 year SWG anniversary gift. We all know and love the anti-decay kits and resource crates and this is where my idea stems from.

To anti-decay an item you place it in the adk and use the radial menu to anti-decay the item, the kit disappears, your item reappears and voila! anti-decayed uber weapon etc. On the resource crates you basically go through a series of choices, each narrowing down the type of resource you are looking for until you get to the specific names etc, you select the one you want, your crate disappears and in return you get a 30k stack of what you wanted.

So, on to my idea - if you're like me you've probably got/had some uber piece of clothing which ultimately through no fault of your own, or through dying too much (0 condition clothes with mods won't function after the cu) your favourite piece of clothing has become almost useless.

For me it was my +25 terrain negotiation shirt (also had some melee def, and other mods) that I used to wear under my armor as a pre-9 jedi. This made life extremely easy for me as I could run up and down the hills of Dathomir with the greatest of ease. Along came patch 9 and I was no longer able to wear my uber shirt to benefit from the terrain negotiation if I wanted to wear my jedi robe. Now I know nobody is forcing me to wear the robe, and I usually don't but what if I wanted to for the bonuses?

Why not make a kit that when used it turns a piece of clothing into another (or the same if you so desire) piece of clothing with the same mods on it and full condition? With this type of an item you could take your now worthless shirt and turn it into a pair of gloves, or a hat, or a belt or something that you can equip while still wearing your robe? The new piece of clothing would come out with the exact same stats and full condition (effectively 'repairing' 0 condition clothes) but would be of a different type of clothese. Essentially you would insert the clothing into the kit, go through a series of choices (ie: gloves > leather gloves > white) and you would get your new item. The kit would be consumed (like a resource crate) so people cannot just keep dying and repairing or changing the clothes an unlimited amount of times.

What do you think?

maybe a full repair from 0item would be possible....but I doubt they will ever give you anything to shift the type of item not a bad idea though

I think adks can bring an item back from 0 (although I haven't personally tried it) as it seems to restore the item its used on back to full condition, but would be nice to take that now un-useable item and make it into something you can use again.

yeah maybe for u guys.... waste a 2 year reward that brings 0 item condition things back to full..... pfft. give choices. bcs thats REALLY lame and gay for other people who dont want something like that. would REALLY be a WASTE of a 2 year reward. Lol, something like that is what devs would do in rush to shut people like yall up from, suggesting things. so give it a rest, let them do what they gotta do. and delete the thread, theres like 500 of these "what i think the 2 year vet reward should be" posts. getting VERY annoying.

Have 2 year veterans or even 1 year veterans not have to pay for this crappy game anylonger, i am sure people would come back, something Radiant def. needs.

I'm sorry, all I heard was some sort of muffled sound....take the d!ck outta yer mouth and I might be able to understand you.

About tailors removing CAs from clothing, thats another great idea and smuggler's should be able to remove AAs from armor, but there would have to be some sort of a drawback, perhaps a chance of failure to remove the CA/AA or they could wreck the clothing/armor so that it is now broken and the mods can no longer be removed. There would definitely have to be a chance of failure (no 100% like slicing with clamps is now) though.
