Can someone tellme which NPCs drop these, I've been killing NPCs on Naboo and Corellia for days now, all I get are datapad housings and broken datapads.

So, I got all the parts for the broken datapad, put them all in the datapad housing and....nothing!!!! Is there some tribal, ceremonial dance I have to do to get this to work? Or is there an NPC that fixes it for me? Thanks

try taking all the items out and put them inside again. It has worked for me several times

I managed to fix one broken datapad this way and it converted into data storage. Too bad it didn't have any other data in it than some story. Completely useless if you ask me.

There was a very, very loose rumour that some contained chef additives for enhancing recipes, but chances are that this was simply that....a rumour.

Even so, gives me something to do with all that random Aakuan loot I get

Yeah, this rumor came from the fact that some of the datadisks contain recipies on how to cook Krayt or such. It's just flavor text.
