Yes. Expect about 1 drop of 6 to 8 GDK scales in roughly 20 kills (same as wild spawns).

Dunno about that. I went out hunting GDK last Thursday, with one other person who needed scales. Killed about 20 total, 2 stacks of 6 and 1 stack of 7 were looted. I was shocked at the 1:3 drop rate. (NOTE: we looted NO regular kimogila scales with the +10 health bonus).

It's called "random." You might get on a hot streak, but that doesn't change the overall rate. Keep hunting them, and you will eventually find that it is indeed about 1 in 20. My first time out I got over 20 scales in about 3 hours--have never had them drop evenremotely like that since.

I got scales for about 10mill worth off the POI GDK in a few days (hours effectively).

They do drop. On FarStar, that's the only place they drop because I somewhat get the feeling that there are no wild spawns of GDKs on FarStar anymore (I've been searching for them for over 10 hours with the help of a ranger)

I found a GDK on the slopes of Mount Chaolt a week or so ago.

(On Farstar).
