To get a datadisk listed here, please be sure to include the EXACT name of the datadisk. What the data item looks like (A scroll, a grey disk, a datapad, etc...). If it has a generic name like 'datadisk' but a different name when you examine, 'use' or 'read' the disk, list that name as well. Also include if the disk can be 'used' or 'read' or if it must be examined. (I'm trying to expand this list). If the disk is laying down or standing up, try and note that as well.
I'm also color coding things...just to make things pretty...and if the item is colored (other then grey or white), it means I personally own the item and have it in my 'library' on display. * denotes I'm not sure on the information.

Texts found on the Data disks.
"You didn't see it!" He shouted.
Corsec officer Antillies lowerd his pistol. The trandoshan didn't seem to be threatening him at all. He was terrified.
"What was it?"
"I don't know!" The trandoshan was nearly in tears. His body was coverd in the strange icor that Officer Antillies has seen at the other crime sceens.
"Did you kill it?"
The Trandoshan shook his head. He didn't think so. He thought, in fact, that he'd simply angered it. Trandoshans are a cold blooded species, one of the most cruel races the galaxy had to offer. But this one was shaken to his very core.
End message.

It's unbelievable. I think you're right about the three guys being brothers. I'm sure now there's three of them, though one of them seems to keep himself out of public for some reason. They HATE the Imperial Researchers. I think that's the key. I'm almost positive their father was an Imperial Researcher at one time. All the evidence I have is conjecture, but it fits the pieces really well.
They've taken to hitting supplies on the way to the facilities and hijacking any electrical equipment they find. And get this, they break it over their heads! I'm not making this up. Check the next time you haul some of these guys in, they're gonna have headwounds and broken scientific equipment on 'em.
Major Tery.

There are a ton of disks you can loot in space from specific groups of ships. I don't have a list though, sorry...
There is also quite a fewquest items. I don't know if you want to include them or not since you can't keep and/or display them, but...
There's the 2 Campaign Disks for Sean and Victor in Bestine, plus the 3 pieces "evidence" for each of them that usually tell a little story (Curator's Testimony, Housemaid's Testimony, and Merchant's Disk for Sean, don't remember the Victor ones because I voted for Sean this round).
Then there's also all the Corvette documents...

*Creating a Data Storage Device....
You will need a Datapad(empty) + a Datadisk. Put the two together to generate a Data Storage Unit
-To create a Datapad(empty), you will need a Datapad Housing (it's a container). Place the following items into the Datapad Housing: Datapad Backlight, Datapad Battery, Datapad Connectors, Broken Datapad.
-To create a Datadisk, you will need a Datadisk Repair Kit (it's a container). Place the following items into the Datadisk Repair Kit: Corrupt Datadisk, Magnetic Burner, Magnetic Reader, Recovery Software, Wiring.
If you load the items in and the item does not convert into a Datapad(empty) or Datadisk, remove the components/items and reload them into the containers.
Wiring that is refered to is the 'regular' wiring called Wiring, NOT blue or red wiring.

Also, any chance some more people will either post transcripts of the datapad stories or at least post screenshots of the stories? I love these in-game fictions and don't have the time to do all of these quests/kill all of these mobs to get them.
