This idea was originally posted brieflyby NeoNaga but it sent my mind spinning with more ideas.
With the new expansion, Rage of the Wookiees, coming out in May there is great opportunity for new loot. One such item i think couldbe Clone Trooper Armor (wearable) or a Clone Trooper Armor Piece (decoration). Here are some thoughts:
-May not be a full suit, could be maybe a helmet, chest, and possible a bicep with rank color.
-Possibility that it would not be equipable, to prevent everyone running around in it.. i mean this is not the Clone Wars.
- On the same note it could be part of a dungeon-type quest (like Mandolorian), making it increasingly difficult to get your hands on anyway.
- The quest may require certain professions in a group to complete. For example a Smuggler, to slice into an old, deserted Republic bunker. A Doctor, to keep an NPC alive long enough, or revive an NPC, to recover passkeys and information about the bunker. A Commando to blast a whole in the bunker wall atthe lower levels to reveal a dingy cave full of critters. Armorsmith to recover and repair the pieces at the bottom of the cave, could be lodged/inside a creature and in need of Armorsmith attention to make it of any use again.
Just throwing around ideas.

I'm sorry, but you're the idiot today. The SWG timeline is as said, between Episode 4: A New Hope, and Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back. The timeline isn't changing with RotW. SOE is just putting in content that's totally unrelated to the current timeline in hopes to draw more money, I mean players into the game when Episode 3 comes out.
You're wrong, have a good day feeling like a total moron.

I like this idea. But I see a problem with it, aside from the gap. The problem is this-watch the Clone Wars cartoon on the cartoon network, and you'll notice that the Clone Troops don't look like the Clone Troops from Episode II. They're beginning to look more like Stormtroopers. Lucas has said that he would like to make a live action tv series to fill in the gap between Episode III and Episode IV to tie everything together. What the relation is with Clone Troopers and Stormtroopers remains to be seen. But this is still a great idea.
your problem makes no sense...he just wants clone armor which would be a comon thing on kasyyk do to the large battles that took place and all the dead bodies around im sure soem armor survived thougth it would all be old and worn out for house decoration
