Thread: The mystery of the tracking device...

Does anyone even care if anything is ever done with this? I notice that lots of people still keep the parts, but to my knowledge there has never been a way to assemble them into something. Is there some reason we are all holding on to the parts to this mystery device?
If anyone knows what was intended, or if it might in fact be planned for something, please speak up.

It's used in the village phase 4 repair quest along with four master artisan parts to create a device that lets you track satellites. The loot kit is required to create the device, youget this from a Gadget Specialist. During the quest you are also given permission to buy satellites from shuttle droids. You cannot drop the assembled tracking device.

So your saying aBounty Hunter got a hold of one of these he could buy a satellite from a ticket collector, and place it into space(some how i have no clue on how to do this), and then be able to track anyof his marks or Jedi marks anywhere in the galaxy or just on the planet?

its used to track FALLEN satelites so you can get a computer core from it you buy salvage rights from the ticket collector droids once you get the core you "reformat" it and take it to the cheif engineer at the village on dathomir completing this quest will unlock the repair branch..... of crafting masteryi think.

Correct, I have done this quest and now have a useless tracking device sitting in my bank box.

No, you cant drop it in your house. And no, you cant trade it... Been there, tried it. I did manage to put it in safety deposit box at the bank for awhile, but I finally got tired of looking at it, and deleted the thing.
