You can move items up, down, forward and backwards. You can also rotate. You cannot move left or right or tilt.

There's no "rotate x" option, the rotate left/right just goes around a vertical line. It is a common request, though, so it may get added in the future.
This can be caused by something within range beginning with "up", like an "upholstered chair". I've found the easiest workaround is to target the item and do "/move up up ##".

ATM the items can only be moved vertically and horizontally along its axis but it would be great if they made a diagonal/tilt option, guess they deem that too hard to code and not worthwhile

You can rotate object. You can not tilt an object but you can spin it around in any direction using /rotate a direction and a degree. The command is /rotate left 45 or /rotate left -30.
You can also move stuff sideways by looking in the direction you want the object to move and using the radial menu or the command /move forward (or backward). You can also use numders after the command to move it further. For example /move forward 100.
Its much faster to type the commands and use numbers rather then use the radial menu.
