Don't know if people have figured this one out, but in case you haven't.

The Metal Recycler/Smelter is a wonderful thing that converts any metal into a generic form of that metal. So you could put 8 different types of copper into it and it will come out as one type. Now the quality is 200 on all attributes, but since we don't care about quality when making knives and clamps it's acceptable.

And not only can now you buy copper with abandon, since all the copper is converted into one generic form, the schematic made with that copper is universal as well. So you can leave the schem in the factory and just keep putting copper into it.

A very nice way to make clamps and knives, I think.

Now, I wonder if you can put the veteran reward that makes a harvester self-powered into a factory. If so, slap that on your factory, put a generic copper schem in it and all you have to do is put copper and maintanence into it, which would be nice.

I've read reports that they have been bugged for some time. I can't confirm that since I don't have one, but it may be something you can do nothing about.

ya got it to work but only recycles 200 points for all the slots? So can only make 20% OQ,better then destroying the resorce!
