yeah that works, happened to my AV-21, its a shame prices of these kits are 100k+ on my server

Ya, I tried iit without a garage before I actually approached a garage.... didnt take.
And these things are over 100k (surprised they're actually that low on your server) because they take 1.5k of asteroid resources toconstruct. Blowing a couple of resource deeds on them, these things have a resource cost, to me, of over 150k each.... miners might save the rafter half of that, but they're stull gonna _cost_ your master artisan 75k-or-so-minimum to make.
Just to comment on the cost. Yes, harvesting asteroids is a major pain. Needing 1,500 units of two different asteroid minerals makes these VERY costly to make. At minimum asteroid minerals go for 50 cpu on my server and the two needed for vehicle repair kits can't even be found.
I outfitted my own starfighter to harvest in space. Ugh, what a pain. And slow, slow slow. I finally was able to dial things in to harvest a full starfighter cargo hold (1,550 units) in about 15 min. So about 30 min of pure game time to harvest enough asteroid for 1 repair kit.
If/when they ever fix the Y-8 mining ship then asteroid resources should drop in price. I have my Y-8 completed outfitted but can't harvest with it worth a hoot. But with a 35K cargo hold this ship will be the answer assuming it can ever harvest effectively.

Next publish, supposedly, will fix the Y-8, double (or triple, I can't remember) how many resources you get per asteroid chunk when mining, lower the resource requirements for POB components, buff up POB components so they're much more powerful, and give the Y-8 two more turrets. Really, the next publish already sounds like it's going to rock.
Space mining should become a lot easier and quicker, POB component prices should drop, and vehicle kit prices should drop as well.
And this is happening, according to Darth Platypuss, in publish 24 if all goes well. Which I believe is the next publish.
