Well after some consideration and some recent non fixes in Jedi I took a break. I was an FRS Knight before the CU and enjoyed the days where I only really feared a mind fire pike. Alas, those days are gone and I dread the long getting caught off guard by the MBH/MCM. So I took a look at what I really enjoy doing as a Jedi. Hmmmm, for me thats being a loot monger. I had to take a look at my loot options.
4key options for higher end loot came to mind.
1.) Aukuan missions. Somewhat ok but more of a hassle to spend 4 hours running missions and get 1 sea hich may or may not have any use.
2.) Imperial Missions and Rebel Bases..I killed 160 rebel npc's over lev 80. Looted 1 ca, 20 crappy weapons.......00000 Holos.
3.) Krayts .....Not even really worth the time of day anymore. BH's get better weapon enhancers and Krayt tissues are severly gimped. I have killed 450 Krayts post u and have never seen 1 drop an SEA. Pearls from Krayts now are completely pointless.
4.) DJM/DJK...well I somewhat screwed myself on this one. I accidently completed the mission 1 day lol.
So In conclusion.
I do not have luck which completely sucks for me and anyone else without it. I do not have the ability to loot holos because they rarely if never drop off dead rebeles(Nice imbalance in faction looting here). Pearls blow and SEA's seem to be fed through the game now in BH marks.
So, I just log on to the other MMORG subscription I have and its packed with loot. No imbalance in faction looting. TONS of loot and just an overall good time. Albeit its a PVP server so there is some greif at the begining of your chracter...lesson learned when low level never attack a level 60 alone.
Anyway, instead of complaining about the loot in SoE I will let them collect my 15 dollars a month until I get completely fed up and disgusted with the fact they built a system for everyone but Jedi, stripped saber block for the cu and put it in FRS(the mythand legend of its return awaits) and just completely hosed up the loot tables but where able to fix/improve a single mob(not krayts) for BH's but Jedi get no love.
If I can't get my loot fix in SoE I will get it elsewheres for the time being. This of course pending I don't vomit because the devs completly lied and hosed jedi all the way through the CU. What people fail to realize is if you don't treat your veteran players all that well then what do the new guys to a system have to look forward to.

Kind of an odd thing to say have you gone to DWB lately or perhaps farmed black sun on yavind endor or dathomir? gone and visited our old friend nk? seems there's still some out there try going into space and hunt black sun up there for the elusive black sun helmet perhaps. Jedi get no love for the most part alot of things other professions need a group to tackle jedi can do almost solo cept for maybe dwb unless you cloak and go loot the coal bins /shrug just a thought.

that brings up a good point nothing worth doing is soloable unless you are ajedi and are amaster defender and to put it simply why should we have to group or change our template to get a good loot thisis one of the stupidest things soe has ever done to the comunity and they have done alot of f***edupcrapto us as a whole

if you want holos just go the crystal hunters cave on dant i got 2 of em in about an hour or so pluss the mobs are only around cl60

The whole idea of an MMORPG is community involvement in a role playing environment, if you want to solo everything get a RPG and play by yourself. The best thing SOE ever did was force us to group to do anything high level as it should be. The fact that some templates are better than others is just a matter of play style, I know a TKMMDoc(who IMO got kicked the most in the CU) who can take me out everytime we duel and I also know some MLS MDef who whine because they are always getting their butt kicked. My advice (even though you didn't ask for it) find a template you enjoy and have fun with it, if you can't enjoy the game then leave and find one you do enjoy.

True but a mdef mls is not the best loot template in game. Its is by far a rifleman cm with some pistoleer. Hands down a MCM Rifleman owns looting in this game.

Please, I fear no template. I grin and bear it when a rifleman takes out anciants and I know I will get pawned if I try the same. The problem is we have been led along like little dogs post cu and lied to by SOE constantly. I grimace everytime I see a commercial that says you to can be a Jedi. What they dont show is the new Jedi running aorund with a gimped saber or say all new Jedi must have channel in order to go through a mob. I think it is the stupidest thing in the world that the game promoted having to team up with other players for anything. If I want to do the whole team concept I can get that at work. When I come home I want to run aroung talk in chat or vent but kill things on my own. Thats why I have the template I have. I JUST WANT LOOT to be reintruduced and maybe evejn assign something aside from incredibly crappy weapons to the rebels at lev 81 and 82.
Fpr me pearls are not a problem. I was a pre-cu Dark Jedi Knight so my saber is very good. I think for new Jedi they should have just thrown in and gone with mpowers. Mpowers can pack a very nasty punch. Unlike other games SoE sees fit to deny the looters of the game the simple fun things they enjoy.
