I know there are engine experimentation and chassis experimentation but are there others for say shields?

There is one for weapons...called "Weapon Systems Experimentation"

Keep in mind the chassis exp helps with chassis and also armor.

Weapon Systems Experimentation


Effective for all weapons, including blaster cannons, disruptors, ion cannons, weapon upgrades, missile launchers, and missile packs. Come to think of it, I have never tried it on countermeasures, so I can't confirm whether it works with these items.

It varies over time and from server to server. Your best bet is look in the loot forum or ask in your server's forum. I know high level NPCs drop them on our server, like high level factional NPCs and DJKs.

The tapes aren't too expensive anymore, at least compared to what crafting tapes used to go for pre-CU.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think at least one of mine came from the new BH Marks. They just sort of appear on my vendor.

This is very dependent on the server you are on. These tapes still average 1M crecits per point on Chilastra.
