Second: They are getting us "loot hungry" for the next expansion. There was a SERIOUS loot nerf when the CU/ROTW came out because they wanted people to go out and buy the ROTW expansion to get all the new good loot. Expect the exact same thing to happen with this upcoming expansion as well.
I don't deny that I have had some great stuff from BH missions, but that was in the first day or two of the BH revmap. Kaadara was maybe 5 times emptier than it is now as not many people were BH, they were all grinding it from Coronet ![]()
But since then, Kaadara has been packed out every day at all times, and I've seen very little decent loot above BH armour schems and smuggler kit. It's my firm belief that every type of item in the loot tables is limited to a set figure of drops per hour/day/server cycle/whatever. Let's say that there's a limit of 100 CA's per hour. With so many BHs looting them, that means less to go around for the guys looting Marauders for example. However, the BH revamp will therefore not affect loot such as Krayt tissue and pearls. I went Krayt hunting tonight, away from the POI, and had a drop rate of about 1 in 2 kills! Much better than NPCs.
I don't want to start flinging about accusations or calls for nerfs, I just want to be able to provide cold, hard facts for player to make up their own opinions. But also for any passing Devs to notice and take to their daily or weekly briefings. The BH revamp came about by chance, so there's every possibility that laying down the facts in a place such as this will help our cause ![]()
Oh, and I copied the Fort Tusken thread, because it seemed like a good idea. I'll try to get more done when I have the time to do exhaustive and accurate testing ![]()
Myself and a guildy ( Aese ) went on an NS killing spree earlier and here's the results -
Stalkers - killed 11 , 1 NS lance and 1 VL
Spellweavers - killed 14 , 2 NS lances
Protectors - killed 8 , 1 NS lance , 1 LVA , 1 colour crystal , 1 Mando frame and 1 Trigger assembley
Sentrys - killed 4 , no loot
Rangers - killed 18 , 1VL , 1 NS lance and 1 trigger assembley
Sentinals - 1 power crystal and 1 Mando frame
Initiates - killed 10 , 1 NS lance and 1 stack of heavy duty clasps
Slaves - killed 3 , 1 Wooden staff
Elders - killed 8 , 1 Power crystal , 1 LVA , 1 Maroj melon and 1 jar of foraged berries
Outcasts - killed 8 , 1 VL , 1 Trigger assembley and 1 stack of heavy duty clasps
Rancor tamers - killed 3 , no loot
The slicing tools will go on the bazaar and we will sell the 2 crystals , the rest was destroyed
Pretty much a waste of time
