uh...no..i have a 114 dmg crystal...but from my experience pearls usually tune better, with crystals u get either really good dmg and bad speed or force cost, or really good force cost and low dmg...but pearls seem to tune more evenly..decent dmg, decent speed, decent fc...

Do not make statements that mislead to be fact if you don't know what you're talking about. I have 3 120 crystals in one of my sabers.

Are these post-CU crystals?


Doubt it, post-CU crystals tune to 110. kthxbye.

This much I know...


4th generation Lightsabers can hold up to 4 crystals or pearls. What's the difference between using pearls or crystals? Then, once the pearls/crystals are used in the saber, will an ADK apply to them as well?


Also, what do holocrons do for a Jedi?

There is no inherit difference between pearls or crystals. Some people think pearl's tune better, some people think crystals tune better, there is no confirmed difference between the two.


Yes, placing an adk on your saber stops the pearls/crystals from degrading. You can still switch pearls/crystals out of the saber as well without removing the adk as you see fit.


Holocrons are force pool stimpacks. If you put one in your toolbar, when your forcepool is down near zero, if you are in need you can click the holocron and your force pool will be completely filled. This has a 24 hour timer on it, so if you use one, you cannot use another till the same time the next day.

A 4th gen saber can hold 5 crystals/pearls (1 color and 4 damage). there is no difference between crystals a pearls, they bath can tune too around the same stats. Yes anADK does apply to all itens in a saber.


Holos are a way to regen your force bar very quickly. The only problem with them is that they are on a timer.

Yeah, crystal tuning has been changed in CU as far as I know. Songouki did a detail post on the tuning before he quit being the jedi correspondant. At one point I think crystals did tune to 120.....but since, I haven't heard of anyone getting better than 100 damage on a crystal.


I can say for sure that pearls tune better in every category. I have yet to have a crystal tune better than 80 damage, but thta's just me. However, most pearls I get tune around 80 - 110 regularly for me. It's just sometimes the force cost is crap. So regardless of what the rumors are, at least for me, pearls tune a lot better and a lot easier.


Oh yeah, crystals tune to terribles speeds as well, again for me.

Yeah, I'd have to say that pearls tune better than crystals. When I hit jedi I had about 30 good pearls and 30 quality crystals. I won't go through exactly how they tuned, but I'm using only pearls in my LS right now. I think 80 was my highest crystal damage, and 106 my best pearl.

used to be that pearls had a better *chance* to get better tune stats. but nobody has ever got a 100% confirming answer from the devs about most jedi questions so, as of now, most people rely that pearls are better than crystals. more of an opinion that fact id say. i have some quality crystals better than my premium pearls. ...kinda sad, but so is SOE.
